The Oregon Trail - key hints in the clue: leave Kansas City on I-26 NORTH. Route 66 doesn't go through KC, and if it did, it would be going south at that point.

One of my goofy bucket list items is to visit Andorra.  For no reason than it looks cool isolated in the Pyrenees snuggled between France & Spain.

Same with Liechtenstein, seems like it would be a neat place to visit for similar reason in the Alps.

It would be way more than 451 miles to the end of the Oregon Trail. And I don't think the trail went that route. Maybe I'm not reading the question correctly.

It's a long way, from a rough estimate on Google Maps just under 2,000 miles to the ocean using the clue's path.

Interstate 29 crosses US 20 in NE just south of Sioux City.  Head west.  Looks like US 20 & 26 cross in Idaho.  From there it's west to Oregon and eventually the coast where 26 ends.

Even starting in Idaho where 20 merges onto 26, it looks like about 700 miles to the west end of the Oregon Trail.

Caught my eye, too.  Looks like the official end of the Oregon Trail is Oregon City, just south of Portland.

That puts total closer to 451.

Me....I would have gone to the ocean.  ?

Still can't figure out where the 451 miles comes from.  Even from Casper WY where you'd pick up US-26, it's over 1000 miles to the end of the Oregon Trail in Oregon City OR.

I do think the Oregon Trail is the answer they're looking for, though

I've wanted to go to Liechtenstein for a long time too.  Just because it's Liechtenstein.  Taking a train from Salzburg to Zurcih in September, I noticed that we would be passing through!!  We even stopped for a few minutes to let another train pass in the other direction.  I think the entire time in Liechtenstein, including the time spent at the station waiting for the other train was about 20 minutes.  Very tiny country... Hennepin county is 10 times bigger.

I was in Liechtenstein during an Advent Christmas trip.  Did you stop at the Post Office and get your passport stamped? It’s not really official but it is allowed in your US passport.  I have a stamp from the Falkland Islands too.
