2 - Beatles songs ??

(Lovely Rita just came up in a playlist I'm listening to then Michelle & Eleanor jumped out at me)

Names in songs performed/recorded by the Beatles should be the correctly written answer to be technical since they didn't write Anna (Go To Him) or Clarabella, and irrc Clarabella was never recorded but played live at the BBC.

Mr. Kite would have probably been too obvious. Or Maxwell, Penny, Lucy, Madonna, Rocky and Prudence.  To limit it to songs they wrote they might have instead gone with Robert and Sadie.

Yes I realize the Beatles snob in me is coming out. ?

The names in the question were all female. so Maxwell or Rocky or Robert wouldn't fit in.

Love his books but have only read a handful & need to read the others. Most were good reads.

Ya'll probably don't care but care Jackie Brown is based on Leonard's novel Rum Punch, in case you want to give it a try.

Pam Grier was so good in Jackie Brown...

Zero points total if you get any wrong.

3. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is located on the shores of which Great Lake?

That is pretty funny. Saw a 914 (seemed to run really smooth) at a car show in Copper Harbor (MI, Houghton road trip) a couple years ago. I ID'd it RIGHT away, on its approach to the main drag parade and SteveMN said, "You sure?"

I'd know that car anywhere.

I'll always know the 356 because of Top Gun.

To this day the coolest car I've ever seen in person is a 917 in Gulf livery that raced at Le Mans. It is silly, but I got goosebumps.

The 959 is still a think of beauty, though. Basically a jacked up 911, but still...

When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.

I saw the first part of the question, and I thought "Porsche!" (I really like that model, btw), but then saw the second part of the question, so I obviously would have been wrong. Smile

Have you seen this before?  It's been around for a while and a really fun read.

https://www.hagerty.com/media/advice/a-few-things-to-know-before-you-steal-my-914/

I had a gf in h.s. that had a red 914 and it was perfectly adequate in all the right ways. There was a front and back "boot", the top was removable, it was nimble but I'd be surprised if it had more than 110 hp even her 2.0 with a flat four and fuel injection. You didn't have it for status as it was pretty much a VW with a Porsche badge, but it was fun to drive around the lakes on a warm summer night and that's all we needed.

1. Quit While You’re Ahead: You may not have heard of rock singer and composer Jesse Frederick, but you’ve probably heard his music. His four most famous songs are titled “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Me Now,” “As Days Go By,” “Everywhere You Look,” and “Second Time Around.” Name as many of the TV shows that used those songs as theme songs as you can for one point each. Zero points total if you get any wrong.

“Perfect Strangers,” “Family Matters,” “Full House,” “Step By Step”

2. What children's book begins, "In an old house in Paris that was covered in vines lived 12 little girls in two straight lines"?

“Madeline”

3. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is located on the shores of which Great Lake?

Lake Erie

4. What word—which in English refers to a friend—means “godfather” in Spanish?

Compadre

5. Today is September 16. On this day in 1959, you could have watched a live television demonstration of the model 914, the first of what type of technology? Hint: its name means “dry writing.”
