Bonus Fact regarding the moons of Uranus. Under normal naming conventions, William Herschel should have been allowed to name the planet, and he chose to name it after his sponsor, King George. When the non-British astronomical community all said "Yeah, not so much" the compromise was to name the planet Uranus, and name the moons after characters from English Literature, particularly Shakespeare
