That was more where I was coming from.

I would consider an EV vehicle for buzzing around town and to and from work. Other than that I wouldn't touch a EV vehicle. And we have a hybrid and only have used the ev side of it out of curiosity.

I've been considering a Tesla. My kid's hockey teammate drove their Tesla to a hockey game in Sioux Falls. The air bag suspension when out (Teslas don't have typical shocks/coils). The car recognized it didn't have bag pressure and refused to drive. There are no dealerships in Sioux falls that can fix Teslas so they had to pay for a flat bed to drive it back to the cities. Then they had to split the family up in teammate's cars to get back home themselves.
An issue that would affect less than 3% of cars (most cars have shocks/springs) turned into a major pain in the ass and a great expense.
Electric cars actually do well in winter conditions due to the added weight and said weight being so low to the ground. Still wouldn’t expect a lot in the UP, but for other reasons.
My friend has a Tesla and cannot park on an incline with any snow. The car just slides, even when parked. He pulled up to my driveway with about an inch of snow, driveway was maybe a 10 degree incline, and the car slid back into the middle of the street. Says that it happens all the time at his house as well.
What’s the update?!?!?! Still stuck in Ho-town or on the road?!?!?!

Just checked into the Wassau Super 8, not going to push through tonight. Too tired. At least it's only going to cost me $90 for the room instead of $250.

Talking about Tesla’s and battery lives. I just saw on my commute home a Tesla with a trailer hitch on it. One, looks like crap on a Tesla. And two, I would like to see how fast the battery life dwindles while pulling something.

I’m having an EGD (throat scan) today. I originally scheduled it for 3:30. Work all day and go after work. Since Friday and over the weekend, they have bumped it up 3 to 9:30ish. So I came into work to open the lab for 2 hrs. I wanted to save some PTO hrs even though I would be fasting most to all the day. Now the fasting is a shorter time, but I have to burn some PTO… lol!!!

Either the Boston Pops skipped playing the 1812 overture in the lead-up to the fireworks, or The CW had a ridiculously long commercial break rather than showing it. Either way... booooo
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
It amazes me on how the shipping industry works sometimes. No wonder the system is broken.
My wife ordered an item. It was located in Des Moines. They sent it via UPS. It went from Des Moines to Mpls. Mpls to Stevens Point Wi to Wausau Wi back to Mpls to St James Mn to Slayton Mn and out for delivery. Slayton Mn is our local UPS hub where most of our UPS packages come from. Normally orders go to Mpls and then maybe Mankato to Slayton. I assume the package got put on the wrong truck in Mpls, if not, that may explain what is wrong with the UPS system.
I was recently informed by a GPLer that I'm related to Airey
Sportscenter had Minnesota day yesterday for their 50 states in 50 days. They counted down the top 10 Sports Moments in Minnesota History. The top 5 went as follows:
5. Kirby Puckett robbing a HR and walk off in ‘91
4. Miracle on Ice. Focus on Herb Brooks being from St. Paul
3. An Anthony Edwards dunk in a regular season game in 2024.
2. Minneapolis Miracle
1. Gene Larkin walk off in ‘91.
One of these is not like the other. A dunk being #3 definitely is not it. I didn’t see 10-6 as I was at the gym. What else did they miss?
If they are going the Brooks route, that HAS to be #1.
Puckett #2.
No North Stars making it to the Cup, only to be beat by (choose your dynasty: Islanders or Penguins)?

They could have done the Lakers dynasty when they were still in town.
If Wheeler’s goal against UND in the Final Five isn’t there I’m rioting. 😉
Not just Brooks, but how many players were Minnesotans. If they are going the Brooks route, that HAS to be #1.

I am over this Gopher vs. Maverick fan fight that I see on Twitter and have dealt with in Mankato for years. The Chattin' Chuckleheads along with Dan Myers have been at it with some Gopher fans on Twitter this past week.

I am just over it. Seriously, it is the Mav fans that make me cheer for their team to choke. It is a great thing for the Mankato community and the school to have a successful program but damn...fans just ruin it. I have said many times here on GPL that EVERY fanbase has jackasses even the Gophers. I have found that more times than not Mav fans just can NOT get over any success the Gophers have. It is such a little brother complex. The Mav fans have taken on the ego of the Bulldog fans without any national championship to back it up. While most Gopher fans hang on to past success but when you get down to brass tacks the Gophers over the same span as the D1 Mavericks have been as successful even without winning a natty in the last 22 years.
Rant over
