A long, long time ago
I can still remember how that music
Used to make me smile
It's nine o'clock on a saturday
Regular crowd shuffles in
hand to heart right there....
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
I lit out from Reno
I was trailed by twenty hounds
Didn't get to sleep that night
Till the morning came around
And.....see if anyone is familiar with this one....
Back in the day In our sleepy little town
Out of nowhere A hippie band came around
They set up camp (Down by the river)
Close to So So Curve (behind the levee)
Folks said stay away (them people are dirty)
Tell deputy Momio get down there in a hurry

But Tuesday's just as bad....

Dunluce Castle is very cool (as is the song you posted) and only a short drive from one of the most important places on earth, The Bushmill's distillery. :shots:

How about some neo-psychedelia?

I’ve always liked this one too.

Popped up on my "suggested" list when going down the Youtube wormhole. One thing: Roger Watkins? Uh.....

Youtube wormhole.
Hate the laugh track. Not a huge fan of Waits, but he does have some gems:

I’m really showing my age now! I saw this with friends when it originally was in theaters. We were high as kites
I still love Pink Floyd.
Note: Due to inflation dirty deeds will no longer be done dirt cheap.
So freaking smooth:

The Wall was awesome, and no, I wasn't high. Hell, I own the movie. Love Floyd.
As for Leon Bridges, he's so damn good.

48 years ago today, this iconic album came out:

Har Mar Superstar has new album out called Roseville.
I miss being able to see him live.
Worth watching/ hearing again!
I like both versions:
I am sure I've posted related before, don't care. Some Tweeter Machine stuff got me going, and popped in Public Enemy's "Apocalypse 91: The Enemy Strikes Black" cd.
The first track (linked below) definitely set the tone. The tone of it....it's saying "Ok, are you ready for some real sh**?" Then you get Rebirth, Can't Truss It, By The Time I Get To Arizona? And those are just the highlights? Jesus. Amazing album.

Here’s an off-season topic for discussion.
What band has the most talented musicians overall (not in terms of songwriting but their skills at their respective instruments).

Metallica is pretty solid with the Cliff Burton AND Jason Newsted lineups. My only peeve is that Kirk Hammett never met a note he didn't like.

Dream Theater with Portnoy on Drums and Myung on that ridiculous 6-string bass is a bit of a contender.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
Rush
I’m not a great music mind but that’s my first thought too.

Cream
Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce
No contest.

Have to respectfully submit this group for consideration:

They had a pretty good guitarist.
If you wanna go that route, than AC/DC, since Angus Young never missed a note in his life. He never erred.

I suspect a tongue in cheek aspect to that submission. Tougher to err when you are playing three chords?

Great choices.
The Who is my solid second choice followed by Chicago (Terry Kath years) for the band that has the most talented musicians overall.
No tongue in cheek. IIRC, it was Joe Perry who said that about Angus, in praise.

I'd have to see the actual quote to understand what Joe Perry meant.
Throwing Angus Young's name out there didn't really address Zwak's question. I do like Angus Young and I do like AC/DC a lot. A great band. However, it would never cross my mind to consider AC/DC as the band with the "most talented musicians overall."
