Scott Hall, aka Razor Ramon and WWE Hall of Famer, dead after multiple heart attacks.
RIP Razor Ramon.
Considering his addiction to the bottle during his career, along with the career choice itself...led a pretty long life. If I read correctly, the heart attacks were from complications for a hip surgery...
Correct. I believe he developed a blood clot after his hip surgery and the clot is what they are saying caused the heart attacks.
This one hit hard for me. Scott Hall and the NWO was getting huge right as I started getting into pro wrestling (7-8 years old). He has always been one of my favorites because of that (the Razor Ramon persona was before my time).
I remember Scott Hall from his first days in wrestling in the AWA, teamed with Curt Hennig and tag-team champions. He became a great worker in the ring and with the mic as well. The whole WCW-NWO angle was sheer genius.
Became familiar with him as Razor Ramon, and yes, the NWO thing (especially with Hulk) was genius. That was a game-changer.

Queen Of The South's series finale season on Netflix streaming Apr 7, confirmed. Great show, if you are into the narco shows.

Really…?…I gotta resurrect this thread before we talk about how awesome the first ep of Moon Knight is?
I’m not gonna say I’m the biggest Ethan Hawke fan but he is great casting for this role.
I’m a big Oscar Isaac fan, had high expectations and he easily met them. This dude will win an Oscar at some point.
Crazy good filmmaking so far, might actually watch this as it comes out which I don’t do anymore cause we don’t have to, any, more. right?
Severance Episode 8 was just bonkers!
Kudos to Ben Stiller for his part in this series, but also massive credit goes to those in charge of casting, set design, music, writing and cinematography. It's been an absolute masterclass in constructing suspense, the main plot and subplots, character reveals, and drawing the viewer in and feeling vested in what happens next. Highly, highly recommend.
Okay yeah the Moon Knight premiere was awesome. Definitely didn't go with starting slow like the other Marvel series thus far. WHAM you're right in the middle of it from the get go. Excited to see where this goes.
WrestleMania is on Peacock
While at my exercise place this afternoon I watched most of the feature "movie" about the '79 Gophers' road to the Frozen Four Championship. Even though I've seen it many times before it never gets old, especially today when it helped my hour on the treadmill fly by in no time!
Jerrod Carmichael with a great opening monologue on SNL
WrestleMania is on Peacock
That would be cool if I was 10-14 years old.
I knew going in that Season 4 of Killing Eve would be a "no one gets out alive" type final season but the last episode sucked anyway.

I have mixed feelings about this one. It was decent and has a lot of potential but there is a lot still to flesh out to really hook the viewer IMHO. It could get frustrating pretty quickly if they don't answer some questions, but they could fill in some of the gaps in a single episode. So I'll definitely give it a few more episodes to see where it goes.
I'm looking forward to starting Ken Burns' Benjamin Franklin.
I'm looking forward to starting Ken Burns' Benjamin Franklin.
I recorded that last night not knowing it was a Burns’ project. Now I’m doubly excited to watch it today.
The Invisible Pilot on HBO looks very intriguing.
So wait - TV has now reached all the way down into the barrel and come out with a show about dominoes?
I'm looking forward to starting Ken Burns' Benjamin Franklin.

This was fascinating, so many facts about the Rwvokutionary War that you “kinda” knew, like that we wouldn’t have won our independence without France’s massive help but it almost bankrupted their country in the process. The war estranging him from his son was interesting. I also didn’t know that at the time of the Declaration of Inpendence Franklin was 66 and Thomas Jefferson was 32. The Continental Congress hashing out the Constitution in 1787 and all the crazy options they considered: Alexander Hamilton wanted a President who was elected for life (yikes!) and Franklin wanted a three person committee to head the executive branch. Also found it amusing that at the time they were working out the Constitution in Philly Franklin had debilitating gout and kidney stones so bad he had to be carried to Independence Hall every day and take opium tinctures.
The final season of Queen Of The South has hit Netflix streaming. It was a USA Network show, but feels more like an FX show. Gritty, grimy, lots of cussing (in Spanish, so they can get away with a lot more ). I really love this series.

I've read up on Franklin previously but that was about 25 years ago, and like you there were plenty of stories (including most of the ones you listed) that were new to me. I forgot or did not realize how much he was revered globally and basically a rock star of his era.

He was about 30 years older than most of the other Founding Fathers and they didn’t really know him. They thought he was kinda odd but respected him cause he was the most famous American in the world. When he went to France he was a celebrity and they sold pictures of him everywhere. One of the French royalty resented it and put one of the pictures of him in the bottom of his chamber pot. I also didn’t realize he spent all of the Revolutionary War in France working them for funding and shipping supplies over to fight the war. They said he was the second most important person in the Revoltuionary War (Washington) and he was in France the whole time.

I subscribed to the PBS Documentaries channel on Prime to watch the Country Music one. There are a lot of other good ones on there, but most are older and watch more like a high school movie from the 90s when I watched them. Been waiting for some new things to come out so glad to hear about this one, I will add it to my list. I had a collection of Who's Who books when I was a kid and Ben Franklin was one of those books. I did a report on him in middle school too, using my mom's set of encyclopedias!
We finally caught up on Ozark in preparation for the last few episodes coming at the end of April. I have no clue really what to expect at this point

My guess is everyone dies except for Jonah, he gets his own spin-off series where he uses a lawn care service as a cover and the show is called Mowzark.

I honestly gave up on the series. I think I may have slept through the last couple episodes of the previous season and have no interest in starting the current season. Same thing happened with Better Call Saul. But I watched all of Breaking Bad and considering watching it all again.

Stick with Saul. First part of the "last" season starts next week. The character Lalo...my God, he is so entertaining. Of course, along with the rest of the story.

Anyone watching Outlander in Starz? This one is difficult for me to believe I am into due to the time travel aspect, but the historical portion and the storyline has me completely into it. The 2 main characters are great, the leading lady I just saw was Ken Miles’ wife in Ford v Ferrari (which I just watched this weekend). The leasing guy, Sam Heughan, is just awesome. He has a show about Scotland’s different food, drink, sports, culture, etc and he is funny. I would love to have a “wee dram of whisky” with him yet I don’t like whisky.
Moon Knight on Disney+ has been extremely fun so far
Saw maybe the most bizarre cooking show on Netflix called "Is It Cake?"
Spoiler... yes. It was cake.
That Dirty Black Bag. Description from Google:
A story over eight long days describes the encounter and clash between two men: McCoy, an apparently incorruptible sheriff with a dark past, and Red Bill, a dirty, taciturn bounty killer trapped in a desire for vengeance that cannot be fulfilled.
This is definitely not your daddy's spaghetti western, but I've enjoyed quite a bit so far through 3 Eps.

I love Khonshu

I have really enjoyed it too. I had to dig out my old Moon Knight comic books to show my kids. I have about 6 Moon Knight comics from the late 70's and 80's. Unfortunately the comic books still aren't worth that much.
Tokyo Vice.
Jake Adelstein, an American journalist, plugs into the Tokyo Vice police squad and descends into the neon underbelly of Tokyo.
Stars Ansel Elgort from Baby Driver. Highly recommend!
Better Call Saul (series finale season)
I bought the Amazon Season pass, so can watch the day after orig airing, which was last night.
ZOMG. Strap in. This gonna be fun.

Mayans MC:
Just like Better Call Saul, did a 2-ep premiere.
The first ep...meh, until the final minutes, and then it was HOLY HELL.
The second ep...total setup ep, and JFC, this is gonna be intense.

Yes.
I am the official Iowa Hawkeye football fan of GPL!
I didn't realize it was already coming out but S2 of The Flight Attendant is now out.
Also can't recommend That Dirty Black Bag nor Tokyo Vice enough.
I started watching the first episode of Saul last night and fell asleep. I'll try again to watch. I hate these slow burn shows. The intros on the episodes really drive me crazy. Not sure why I got so invested in this show but I will begrudgingly watch to the end. The show does have it's moments but they are few and far between IMHO.
Anyone watching the MLB game on Apple TV?
I’ve had it on in the background while doing laundry and just sitting down to it now.
I have tried to activate it and can't get it to work. When I sign in, it tells me I have to sign on an apple device or pc. I don't have any apple devices. Is there a way around this?
Oh, that’s annoying. I have an Apple device so I didn’t have to do anything special to activate, but this describes a workaround that sounds ridiculous. Don’t know if there’s something simpler.
Thanks. The work around got me in for the last half inning.

You don’t deserve it. It’s not their fault you can’t appreciate great storytelling

It is equal to Breaking Bad at this point, given you KNOW what the end result is; the journey is the intriguing part, for more than just Saul. It's an amazing show.

That’s a high bar. Part of the first episode was reestablishing the tone and storylines going into the new season. The end of the first episode and all of the second it’s game on. This is the last season so shits gonna get real quick. There’s also a slow burn that all of the characters use with a controlled emotion and never trying to give to much away to their rivals. There’s a scene with Mike and Gustavo in the trailer that tests that…you can feel their struggle to control their emotions. Kim, Mike, Lalo, Gustavo and Varga are the narrative driving parts and this show is lucky that all 5 actors playing those parts are absolute rock stars.

I have not watched any trailer, nor searched anything about the last season. I wanted to go in blind. Lalo is friggin' entertaining as all hell. Kim...I don't know what to really make of her, even at this point. She can go either way (and yes, I've heard about the Ice Station Zebra theory). I know Nacho's fate is the big question. He doesn't appear in BB, but is mentioned once. Once.

I also went in blind. I have rewatched the last ep of the previous season occasionally on some of my fave series but I don’t think it helps in the end. These complicated series’ have to recap at the beginning and that 3 minute bump is usually plenty good.
I've re-watched series like these, I agree. Have to keep track of the moving parts, especially if you are watching multiple series. I'm ZONED in for everything I watch. I do not want to miss ONE detail. The recaps just bring up what you may have forgotten about, so you know what the ep is going to entail. It's a spoiler of sorts. I skip all that.
