I’d be hard pressed to pass up anything bacon, but honestly…that pile looks like what I scoop out of the litter! It’s the cylindrical shape that does me in.

In the small town I live near, population around 150, a couple opened a local bar and grill in the old bank building that is about 100 years old. Its nice to have a place just 2 miles away to go to for a beer and a burger. We make sure we support them as best we can so they can stay in business. In a time when places are closing, nice to see things like this opening up in the middle of no where.

I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.

Yes. Kor's Korner Pub. When I was young the Main Street was filled with businesses and now the town has an elevator, a new bar, a hair place and 4 churches.

Wait, most small towns have 4 bars and a church. Mr. Green

I love it after the holidays are over. No more short/messed up weeks with holidays in them. No real interruption because of a holiday until May. Work gets back to normal 7:00 - 5:30 five days a week.

I was sitting here thinking that I really like my holidays even if the rest of the holiday week is crazy due to one less work day.

That's all I've worked for the last 20 years at three different jobs. The 10 hours of overtime makes it bearable.

My last gigs were as a "Scaffoldologist" @ MNGS.

AKA Monte Nuke.

6 days a week, 12 hrs a day during the outage. Have enough pull to work the night shift you work 12 but get paid for 13. $$$$ KACHING! $$$$

I loved it. You can't do it for much more than 2 months, but that is a long outage so you didn't have to.

2 motorcycles & a tritoon. In my last 4 outages.

Reffed 4 hockey games this morning/afternoon. My son played tonight and got home about 9pm. Didn’t think much about more hockey but found a replay of the Gopher game on TV and tuning in to it with a drink. ??

Richard, the manager and guy in the ads, is a really good friend of ours. We’ve known him about 10 years, he’s just like he appears, very funny, very kind. This is one of my favorites too Cowgirl. Poor Bear, I wonder how many bruises he ended up with? Even IN the costume.

This video just reminded me of the constant beat downs Goldy would give the Subway sandwich during the intermissions in the mid-90s. I don't know why it did but I got a chuckle from that memory too

And that reminds me of Goldy routinely trucking children during halftime games with other mascots.

In other words, Goldy rules.

There’s a video out there if the whole game between the mascots and kids one of the years. Ben Leber, former linebacker, was in a wedge cheese costume. He has talked about it on the radio. They were told to hit the kids and knock them around. He thought they were nuts. When he saw all the kids laughing and loving getting destroyed, he just went for it.

Appointments only at the airport is great! Snagged a cancel spot and the line was the perfect length to save up a tube full of spit. My overnight test kit I ordered Wednesday hasn’t even shipped yet and i don’t want to wait two weeks for that process. But hey at least I’ll have a backup!

If anyone needs an immediate test, just keep refreshing the airport. Times show up every few minutes, you just have to get your name and email in super fast before everyone else.

Although appts only is through tomorrow at this time.

What an epic series. I was lucky enough to be at all three home games at Met Center. Game 7 was about as stressful as it gets. God bless Al MacAdam!!! I remember my Mom saying "Well, he's from Charlottetown. What did you expect?". (Mom's home town). LoL

Those were the days. :club: North Stars had some firepower. Glen behind the bench. Awesome uniforms. Dino showed up the next season.

In 2021 my wife and I finally got to experience Duluth and we both fell in love with the area. We made a couple trips up and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves both times. Canal Park and Lake Superior are wonderful settings that give great views. Watching the sun rise over Lake Superior was a highlight during our trips. The other thing I have found myself fascinated by is the ships going in and out of the harbor and watching the Aerial Bridge go up and down. Throughout the year I have watched the Duluth Harbor cams on You Tube and have enjoyed watching it very much. I bring this up since today Lake Superior shuts down for the season as the Soo Locks close for annual maintenance.

I look forward to more trips to the Duluth area this year as we have two planned already. One we are going to explore Duluth a little more and then the other we are going further up the North Shore. We have made it as far as Silver Bay and plan on making it to Grand Marais this fall.

I am enjoying watching as the last few ships are on Lake Superior today as they either head to the other Great Lakes or into Duluth for winter layup. It has truly been a simple pleasure this past year.

We're trying to convince my mother and father-in-law to go to the North Shore this summer. They bought a toy hauler late last summer and plan on taking some trips this year. I told them they should camp up there and spend a week riding around there on their Harley.

Good. The last thing we need is people from Florida discovering the beauty of the north shore and wanting to move here.
