Saw a BMW today, totally pimped out (and no, it was not Armadillo's). Know why? The license plate was "LWYR4U."

You CANNOT make that up!!!!!!!!! JFC, that's a neon sign proclaiming yourself as a total D-bag! :D I had to laugh. My first thought was, "Huh, THIS is where Saul Goodman really ends up!"

Our neighbor took a hog to the local butcher shop and split it with us. I just paired one of our new sausages with some sauerkraut and a Schell's Oktoberfest. Yum!!!

Every season has its purpose and eventually a change. And I think it’s come time for me to retire from vending. While vending was a great part time job with flexibility and excellent pay for nearly the past 15 years, it’s also has changed and been more of a burden in last 5 years. And with being recently married (4/24/21) and having 3 kids, that burden is not worth it anymore. I’ve told myself over and over to never let myself be enslaved to a job, especially a part time job. While the part time money would be great and help out with family expenses, it’s also not worth losing out on the memories with my wife and 3 kids. As well as putting more tasks on my wife without me being around cause I’m out vending at one of the ballparks or stadiums in the Twin Cities.

I have lots of fun memories and stories from vending. Stories and memories that are mind boggling and book worthy… LoL!!! Though I feel I’m going to build greater stories and memories with my wife and 3 kids. Stories and memories that will be lifelong memories for me, but more importantly lifelong memories for my wife and 3 kids!!!

Keep your stick on the ice...

Good for you. Kids always remember the time spent with them. It doesn’t have to be a big event for them. My fondest memories of my dad is running weekend errands with him on Saturday mornings. The hardware store, gassing up the car (he’d “let” me wash the windows even though I could only reach part of the way), we’d end with a stop at the coffee shop for a donut. Your kids will soak in the fact you’re just there, I wish people didn’t underestimate that.

Note: Due to inflation dirty deeds will no longer be done dirt cheap.

One of the best memories for the middle kid was him and I were driving and hitting a deer. For me it was nerve racking and for him it was total excitement. I would prefer not to hit a deer again, but it is the little things I can fine and the kids have fun with. And the best part is day after day, all 3 kids gradually expressing their love for me. Along with my wife telling me stories about when I’m at work and the kids ask questions about me and express interest in me!!!

Our fire pit area on the farm. Mostly recycled items on an old base of a grain bin including old fence posts, corn planter boxes, cement culvert, pallet bar with left over house siding, old fuel barrel for fire wood, Tire rim for fire pit and flower planters, and old milk can with M on it.

Got a side hustle w/Shorewood Liquor, started on Sat. Mgr flat-out said, "You make your own schedule. You show up when you want to work, and you leave when you want to leave. Just mark it down." Shock

They have fixed shifts for the main workers, so the scrubs like me are just additional help. PERFECT. Plus, the pay is more than I expected.

Actually, kinda. :D And learn the "other" side of the business with distribution, etc. When I "retire" from my main job (which hopefully is a couple decades away), I'll have that skill set to keep working in some form, to have something to do. :)

Knowing that fall is soon to come...my son's first official football practice of the season was today. In fact, two practices. It was great to see both the exhaustion and the smile on his face when I picked him up. I can't wait for the cool nights of fall watching high school football...and West beating New Prague Mr. Green :poke: SkiUMahLaw

Before I retired earlier this year, I made those chips. FYI--sodium is very bad for those chips, so they are unsalted...

I wish I could make the scrimmage but I'm playing in a hockey fundraiser tournament that day, so I am a little bummed about that. I will be for sure at the game on the 10th. I'll give you a wave if I see you when you're not busy.

My 9th grade daughter went out for cross country last fall for the first time and ran on the JV team. Being new at it, she consistently finished in the bottom 2 or 3 each meet but still had fun because she has a great group of teammates. This summer, she worked her butt off going to strength and speed practices at 6:30 AM every day and by getting her mileage in each week. This morning, she texted me to say she made the varsity team! I'm wiping away tears and couldn't be more proud. I guess she paid attention to some of my speeches about hard work paying off.

The kids got there Kids Club packages today and my wife sent me pics. They are so happy and excited. And it's not because it's Gophers stuff. It's because of the excitement and gratitude I see them express.

I leave for the airport with the boy in 3 hours and will be in MN on Sunday a.m. CST. Can't wait to see the family and home again, but it will be bittersweet knowing I won't likely see him for a year unless quarantine requirements here and Thailand are lifted before then.

Last night in Moab and I’m looking up at the stars on the back deck of my cabin while the Colorado River flows about 50 yards away from me. The huge rock formation should be more visible across the river in about 30 minutes as the moon comes up over the canyon too

Nice... Reminds me of our friends cabin down the road from ours. Theirs sits on the bank of the Middle Fork of the Flathead river. Nothing better then going down to their place in the evening, sipping coffee, having homemade ice cream and hearing the river as well as trains travel though the Red Rock Canyon. Our cabin you can't hear the river so much, though you can still hear the trains in the distant.

Keep your stick on the ice...

I’ll post some of the pictures when I get back and put a link somewhere for anyone interested in seeing.

I’ve been out a couple nights doing some night photography and am planning to do it at Bryce Canyon as well. I’m still experimenting a lot but I think I have some cool shots

When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
