They are great. Not cheap but gorgeous retro designs. They drop a new school every week in the summer. They dropped Wisconsin last Saturday. Here is their stuff for example. Expect lots of retro Goldie's etc.

The website reminds me of the Super 70's sports website and other sites that sell retro or defunct stores shirts. You are correct to say that they are not cheap.

I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.

Since the stupid question thread is locked...

Anyone ever lost a tooth (in my case a molar) and elected not to replace it? I'm trying to decide to go with a bridge or not. It's not wickedly expensive (about $400) but if not having it doesn't present problems I might say eff it.

My dentist didn't seem overly anxious to get me in, but I didn't specifically ask him it there are negatives to leaving the gap unfilled.

Per my dentist wife. First, $400 is a steal. The downside is that over time, the teeth behind the gap will tilt forward, and could affect your bite. (Your teeth might not come together smoothly/comfortably when you bite down.) Her mother has a tooth tilted over 30 degrees.

Good to know. I am going back for a general cleaning and will press him harder for questions like I should have asked when I was there. I lean towards it being better to go with one than not but the area needs some time to fully heal after the extraction so it's ok to wait a bit.

This! My brother lost a tooth (not a molar) and at the time couldn’t afford to replace it. 10 years later he started having bite problems as per above post, his teeth shifted.

When he finally HAD to get it fixed he ended up with invisible braces first, then a bridge. It cost far more then $400 and far more then if he’d fixed it in the first place. Just do it!

Note: Due to inflation dirty deeds will no longer be done dirt cheap.

The Gophers Homefield apparel is available. It’s expensive. $32 for T-shirt, $65 for a thin looking sweatshirt. Yikes.

Breaking 80 on 18 holes for the first time ever. Almost blew it with a double on 18 but ended with a 79.

The first time I had a legit shot to break 80, I was sitting 75 on the tee box of 18 at Stonebrooke. Hit a perfect tee shot. Hit my iron to the center of the green. First putt rolled about 3 feet by the hole. Second putt clownfaced back at me. Three-jacked for a 5 and an 80. I was so bitter.

Went back to where I first putted from on that hole to putt it again and drained it dead center. ?

Fortunately a couple weeks later I shot a 78 (thanks to three chip-ins) so it didn't haunt me for long. But it still bugs me.

The Fireman's softball tournament in Bloomington. Even though there are some things I don't enjoy (namely playing on fields without fences for half of your games) I always have a great time there. The weather was great this year and the rain we got during the week actually made the open fields more tolerable. Usually by mid-July the grass in those open fields is beyond dead so if you hit a ball that gets between or over the outfielders it rolls half a mile. The rain on Wednesday livened it up so balls slowed down enough a few times to actually be played.

The big beer mugs and corn roast helps too ?

It probably overall helped us yesterday. We were fortunate enough to have 3 very fast and 1 pretty fast outfielder this weekend so the opponents who wanted to show off how strong they were ended up hitting a lot of 350-375 foot fly balls. A couple guys got it over them for home runs, but far more tried and failed. (I tried twice, once it worked, once it did not). It's very aggravating to hit the crap out of the ball on a backspin line drive that goes 350 feet right where a guy is standing. ?

Unfortunately most of our infield was playing injured or out of position due to missing guys, but it was still fun.

Also, fairly sure you quoted the wrong post LoL

I did quote the wrong post. As for no fences, helped people like me who were gap hitters (especially opposite field hitters). That ball would just roll, and roll, and roll. ;)

Well, it's Tuesday, before the Houghton trip...I don't have to guess where you are. I only have to guess at what you opted for, and on that, I have NO idea, the menu is that vast. :D

I'll add on to that theme of simple pleasures. Had to make a couple stops today to pick up some beer due to a mule request, and also to cash in some member benefits (again, for muling purposes, thanks to Viking and him naming me as his proxy). Both breweries I stopped at comped me a beer. :)

An extensive selection of half-priced whisky pours.

I know a couple people here will know where I am...

I'll add the the theme of things that stick in your craw...

DVT preventing me from the trip this year. Enjoy the BCB crowlers on me. Remember to bring a church key!

I'll have to do a Glenmorangie flight in your honor.

Take care of yourself and heal up so you can return next year.

B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?

I picked up a nice mix: cream ale, lager, 2 fruited Berliners (which *I* even like), and 2 NE IPAs.

When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
