Agreed on Kandahar and like you especially how they delved into the complicated relationships between the varying factions in the region.
I’m especially tired of #14. Like when the good guy is running down a narrow alley/hallway and the bad guy(s) hit everything but their target.
There is a short special on Netflix called "Attack Of The Hollywood Cliches" that is rather entertaining.

Athlete A:
Follow the Indianapolis Star reporters that broke the story about USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar's abuse and hear from gymnasts like Maggie Nichols.
Sickening. Absolutely disgusting what when on during those years. I am even honestly torn on what was more horrid: the acts, or the cover-up. On one hand, the person(s) doing those acts (physically or mentally) are obviously messed in the head, but then the higher-ups who KNEW about it, and ignored it to protect the image and the brand.
Good documentary, but I will say, it gets rather graphic in nature (verbal descriptions, not video).

RIP, Terence Stamp. 🙁
I am kneeling before Zod.

Night Always Comes:
Risking everything to secure a future for herself, her mother, and her brother (who has Downs Syndrome), Lynette sets out on a dangerous odyssey, confronting her own dark past over the course of one propulsive night.
Very slow burn of a movie. I'm still processing it, to be honest, as in who's more screwed up, the mother (Doreen) or the daughter (Lynette). The daughter's reasons are shown gradually throughout the movie, while the mother's reasons aren't exactly explained. Minor spoiler alert: one immediately thinks alcoholism, but it's not that.
It's a good drama, and shows what one is willing to do, using what one knows, to get by in life. It's not pretty, not necessarily sympathetic, but it's real.

I watched Nope last night.
I don’t even know what to say. It was a little slow, and very bizarre.
Has anyone else seen it?

I have, and yes, it was bizarre.

My Suicide (aka Archie's Final Project):
A teen coming-of-age romantic dramedy about a media-obsessed geek who wants to make his film class project be about him committing suicide on camera.
The comedy is dark, that should be a given. Tough movie overall, grimly serious about what many teens go through in their thoughts and such. The way it was shot...quirky, guerrilla-style, off-beat, all those words make it sound light-hearted and this is a movie that is not light-hearted. Some very valid points are more than peppered throughout the narrative. It's a heavy watch, but definitely worth seeing.

The Thursday Murder Club:
Four irrepressible retirees spend their time solving cold case murders for fun, but their casual sleuthing takes a thrilling turn when they find themselves with a real whodunit on their hands.
Mirren, Brosnan, and Kingsley all show why they are pros in the business. Outstanding acting in the way of their typecast character assets that have been built up over the years. There are a couple lines in there that one might pick up on, and I am convinced that they are inside jokes (no, won't spoil them 😛 ). It's more fun when it's an "I see what you did there" moment.
As for the story, a classic whodunnit, with clues, red herrings, and twists. One thing I'm happy about is that they didn't go full British Comedy style for the comedic part of the movie, it was only slightly "cheeky" as one would say.
If you liked the Knives Out movies, or Wicked Little Letters, I think you would enjoy this movie.

Unknown Number: The High School Catfish:
A teen girl and her boyfriend face persistent harassment from an unknown caller. Police investigating the months of torment discover a revelation that upends their initial assumptions.
WTF is wrong with people?! (Rhetorical). When everything is sorted out in this case, my God, it's disgusting. The perpetrator is...sickening. Yes, I understand mental health issues, but in this case, JFC, you are not excused. Sorry, not sorry. The lives that were/are affected...ugh.
I would say the documentary did its best to stay neutral, gave equal time to all points-of-views. The facts, however...man....

My two youngest kids asked me to take them to Jurassic World tonight. Don’t sieve me, I’ve never seen any of the prior Jurassic movies. It was an above average movie. Reminded me a little bit of the movie Anaconda from the late 90’s.

ZOMG "Anaconda" was so bad, almost to the point, ALMOST, where it became good because it was so bad. Jon Voight was so over the top, and Cube of course delivers his classic (think: Keanu Reeves: "whoa") "Bitch."

Anaconda is a perfect rainy day popcorn chill movie.
