Midseason break fun...

This morning on the Power Trip Morning Show the guys were talking how much would it cost to stop watching the NFL. They agreed on $5M to never watch a NFL game again. You can can get updates on your phone, but you can not watch...

How much would it cost you to never watch Gopher Hockey again... either on TV or in person. I'll also say listen on the radio, cause there's that option that some here do.

$1M, $5M... $10M?

Keep your stick on the ice...

I'm willing to give up watching cricket for $5MM.  Where do I sign up?

Parrish said he would give up the NBA for $1... yes $1. I call BS on that. He can act and say he doesn't watch, but I bet he does. Especially working at BSN.

To never watch another NFL game?  I'd take $100,000 if I could still watch the Vikings, maybe $250,000 if it's a complete ban.  I just don't care that much anymore.

Gophers hockey I don't know. It's the only program left that I feel the same way about it as I did when I was a little kid.

I haven’t watched a quarter of basketball since Garnett played for the wolves.  If Parish is like me I believe his $1.

That sport sucks.

I'd take $250K to give up watching the NFL. Take note of the exact wording of the question...I'd just listen to the Bills on the AM radio station via streaming. 😉

Same situation with Gophers hockey; I practically don't actually watch them already, just listen on the radio.

When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.

He has proven many times he cant even name people on the Wolves...I would bet money he is not lying.

It would not cost me much to give up any sport.  In fact it is super easy to just not watch without being paid.  Especially the NFL it is slow and boring.

I mean… it gets less by the day.  The transfer portal, NIL, changing conference landscape are all pushing me away from caring more and more.  I used to love college over pro because you had a team and players to root for.  Kids you could count on watching for 3-5 years.  Now they transfer faster than a free agent QB.

Each year I like winter and the NCAA a little less…

By the time I’m able to retire I’ll be done with both.

I'm not far behind you. I loved college hockey in the 70's, 80's, and early 90's.

Twenty-one-year-old incoming freshmen, transfer portal "insta-teams," and now NIL are turning my wine into vinegar.

Are your lawns empty yet?

For me an awful LOT would have to change for me to give up on college hockey. I'm not saying it won't ever get to that point, but I'm not even close to that point today.

I agree that the older I become, sports mean less to me.  I love Gopher hockey since I was 12.  After 40 years, I miss many games, but I still try to catch many of them also.  Unlike college football, the Transfer Portal for College Hockey at MN is a place they want to come to and not away from. So, MN hockey should not be a casualty of the crappiest thing to college sports, the current college Transfer Portal.

Gopher hockey is priceless!
