I had the 2 Phils, SteveMN had Mage. So overall, I think we did alright on predictions. And Pub 819 in Hopkins makes a damn good mint julep. 😉 

When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.

A total of 7 horses died at Churchill this week. That seems not good.

I always record the Triple Crown races, make sure no horses were hurt and THEN watch. Having seen a number of horses injured in earlier years, I can't watch that happen again.

One trainer has already been suspended for the horse deaths. Sounds like 5 of the 7 were euthanized due to injury, which is the common practice given said injuries. That would lead one to believe track conditions were in play.

They train these horses hard before they are skeletally mature.  I’m surprised more horses don’t break down. 
hopefully it is just coincidence that these injuries all happened so close together.

The breeding and the uh, medicinal things...horse racing is more dirty than one might think. 🙁
