So BC is so scary that WI doesn't even show up?
And UND 8 to UMi 1? Anyone think this is close? I was thinking of picking Mich to make FF. Don't like to follow the Whioux, but haven't they stumbled a little recently?

The die hard Sue fan at my work picked Michigan over his NoDak team and has the ugly helmets going to the Frozen Four.
Edit: He also took Omaha to beat the Gophers of course.
The 8 to 1 UND picks over Michigan was the surprising one for me also.
Just read that in order to host you need over 5000 seats. The MO was a exception due to lack of bids.

no one shows up apparently. that said, i don't think anyone will pick against them at any point. they look like a juggernaut.
UND is 4-3 in March and went 14-6-1 the back half of the year. Definitely cooled off on the back part of that with the record looking better due to sweeping Miami twice and Duluth once.
Thanks, not that it will likely help me. Been running the office bracket since at least 2007 and have yet to win, despite being one of only a couple who actually follow the sport. (I think I won the H.S tourney pool once.) Either speaks towards unpredictability of one-and-done's or how stupid I am.

Schlossman confirmed that this is not true. Loveland also bid for the regional. So lack of bids is just not true.

Hastings is no idiot. His transfer-portal team will be in full clamp-down mode, and they have more fire power than his Mankato teams did.CHN picks (number of writers picking)

They've been off for 3 weeks. That's the biggest negative. It could be 3-zip by the time they find their legs.
If they survive the first period and keep it close, anything could happen.
If the UND players are likewise 8-1 in their minds, they're in for a big surprise. I don't know a lot about transfer-portal West, but if they aren't strong defensively, Michigan is capable of hitting the 5-goal mark.

Well that is what I get for reading the Detroit News
"Responding to an inquiry from The Detroit News, an NCAA spokesman said the building was awarded the regional because there was a lack of bids for the west regional. The bids were considered in 2020, during COVID, when the future of in-person sports was uncertain."

lack of bids does not mean no other bids. They liked that one more than Loveland
Just a fun fact I saw the other day: In the last 10 years of the FF, the overall #1 has only won the title twice. Of course, we know who has two of those 8 losses...

there was zero need to include that last sentence
Denver could have 3 or 4 holding or interference penalties by now.

They are grabbing pretty good. The Ref's are letting them play in this game. The CFB they needed to call.
Period 1 Mass is controlling the play and shutting DU down. 0-0 after 1
Denver scores 1-0
1-0 Denver. Deserved as they're growing into the game.
Springfield going with a light show after a goal Denver goes up 1-0 Denver goal song is Bastille???
Must be Big Ten refs...
Mass ties it up on a crazy scramble out front 1-1
1-1. Scrummy goal and that's probably how UMass is going to have to do it if they're going to stay in it. Play been very slanted towards their end
Mass' physical presence is taking the energy out of DU's game.

Agreed. Lots of body being thrown around by UMass
Going to OT.
Chances of a pretty goal winning this game are lower than an ant's belly.

And of course they need to bring up how fast OT ended last year for MN and QU
For a 1-1 game 5 minutes into OT this has been an entertaining game. And as good as DU is known for their offense, I've not only been impressed by their team defense but I'm not sure their goalie has given up more than 1 or 2 rebounds all game.
Oh man Devine just missed on the wraparound. Goalie was somewhere in Vermont on that play.

Devine almost ends it with a wrap around but jams it against the net. That would have been pretty

The fact that Wisconsin hasn’t taken control of the UP (a land mass not even connected to MI) tells me everything I need to know about those cowards. A white flag would be appropriate. 🤣CHN picks (number of writers picking)

This guy on the call in Sioux falls Regional sounds about as exciting as a prostate exam
I like Matvick.
RIT with a couple great looks early. One of them was a clean breakaway.
0-0 about 7 minutes into game.
We have double OT
