Holy shit, could the color announcer be more pro BU? Wish I could listen to Wally and Frank instead.
ewwwwww nonononononono ankle.
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
Missed call?
LOL announcers...
Big ten refs...this is how western hockey is played. Man up and deal with it. It's physical.

Buccigross is so cringeworthy. He is just brutal.
Tripping penalties has nothing to do with physical hockey.

Pair him with Cohen and it’s downright unlistenable. Or by himself too 🤣
BOSTON GOT SLASHED!
DU player lost his stick...
lol
And I'm not saying there are not penalties, but eastern hockey, in general, is less physical than western hockey.

BROZ scores in OT! AGAIN! lol
That was a sick shot.

Really could have used that guy this year!
Why did he transfer?
Wish that kid that just scored the goal would have stayed and played his college hockey at Minnesota 😉
As a Minnesotan now living in Massachusetts and attending a Hockey East school, I was saying this week that I was going to be rooting for BU to win this tourney. But I found myself rooting for Denver the entire game. I definitely won't be rooting for Michigan tonight. Go Eagles!
How many games can Denver get outplayed and still win?
I am guessing as many as it takes. 😉

They weren’t outplayed the 2nd half of the game & Denver goalie played great. When BU didn’t score on 4x4 during coincidenal penalties in OT, I figured Denver would find a way.How many games can Denver get outplayed and still win?
Both goal scorers for DU are named Tristan. How many guys named Tristan do u know?
They called him Brozertime after the game😂
Coulda been Brovertime but either way
Rooting for the Big 10.
And Buccigross might cry on air if both BU and BC lose on the same night.
Rooting for the Big 10.
Two schools of thought on that. Some people root for B1G teams after the Gophers get eliminated from the postseason. And then there are those like myself. I usually can't find it in me to root for Gopher rivals.
I like the Big 10 to have a good tourney showing (outside of Wisconsin - never) but have a hard time when it comes to winning one before the Gophers. Not many loveable teams in this Frozen 4, and I say that knowing full well most the rest of the country feels that way about Minnesota.
The Michigan Wienerines have 9 NCAA championships. The love to gloat about that fact ....
BUT... 7 of them were between 1948 and 1964. A period when there were only a handful of college hockey teams. I'm not impressed.
None of the starters for BC are from Massachusetts
It's uncanny how Denver seems to always pull these types of games out.

I am usually the same way. But, I’m sick of hearing about how the Big 10 hasn’t won a title since the league was formed.
I just want someone (other than Wisconsin) to end that conversation. I would never ever root for the Badgers.
Lol. I'd love to hear it but having Michigan win isn't worth it. Go BC.Rooting for the Big 10.

The Massachusetts high school hockey programs are pathetic in comparison to Minnesota. You can say that about every state, but it is surprising here in Mass. Especially considering hockey is semi-important here. Of course a handful of prep academy schools in Mass do produce the majority of their homegrown D1 players. But the high school sports system in Massachusetts is subpar at best. I say this as the former VP of my kid's high school athletic booster club. I was following high school sports pretty closely for a while here while they were in school.
Surprised to hear that. I assumed otherwise.None of the starters for BC are from Massachusetts

I've heard similar from Bostonians.

@north45 Here is a pic to put it into perspective. This is a screenshot of an in game photo during a Massachusetts state tourney when our rival school made it. They only get one game in the TD Garden. Not three games like our Minnesota kids can get. Imagine, your team is in the state final, and all those EMPTY yellow and black seats! High school sports just aren't big here.
Middle of the 2nd period Michigan goes on the power play with a chance to tie the game Dylan Duke takes a penalty and BC scores twice 4 on 4 to take a 3-0 lead.
You feel shame!!!

I called Denver the winner before their game with BU began. And slated them against Michigan in the final, after the Denver win.
BC reminds me of Minnesota State vs Denver for the 2020 National Championship. Denver has done it before. Do it again!
Not knowing what to do, they do what they know . . .
Knowing what to do, they sometime don't do it . . .
The 26th year of the Gopher Men's Hockey Profile got to be too much for this ol' codger to handle . . . what with all of the possible activity on the transfer portal . . . . So, I'm closing it down at the 25th year . . .
If I'm the BC coach I remind my team if you don't finish early against DU they will win the game. History indicates BC needs to be up by at least (the dreaded) two goals going into the 3rd or DU will win the game.
I am not the BC coach which is one huge reason they are playing for the title tomorrow. 🤣

FYI on Broz... He was the 13th forward yesterday for Denver. Saw a little bit of ice in the 1st period, but hardly played at all during most of the game. Got a little bit in OT and sniped the game winner.

That was a goal scorers goal. He shifted the puck just enough to get the screen and shoot a low wrister. As good as BU's goalie played, he wants that one back. He didn't have his stick on the ice and it cost him a chance to play for a title.
If Close played as well as BU's goalie did last night, Minnesota might have been the team playing Denver last night.
I agree wholeheartedly that BC needs a two or 3 goal lead late in the game. Denver is a skilled team that also plays a physical, defensive game. They have been maybe the most consistent program for the past 20 years. Always good...and wins titles.
Don't underestimate the altitude advantage. DU gets stronger and stronger as the game goes on.
Denver's hit rate for winning Frozen Fours is remarkable. 9/18

When Denver beat MSU a couple years ago they did by playing that physical style. MSU hadn't seen a team with skill and physical play style all year and they didn't know how to react to it. Denver got their first goal and you could see the momentum change. BC will need to keep Denver from physically taking over the game. I agree with everyone so far about needing at least two goals early to put Denver in that early hole. I think if BC gets a third goal by the third period the game might be sealed. Overall I believe BC is too skilled for Denver to skate with for 60 minutes.

Former BU player
We were there…if THAT would have been the Michigan team the Gophers played, we’d have won! They were flailing and couldn’t buy themselves a goal. BC shut them down hard.
Earlier game of Den and BU got very chippy. My prediction is D will goon it up against BC as much as they can get away with.
We visited Fan Fest and it was slightly better than usual. More hockey games and skill tests than usual, including some Bubble Hockey games set up. I tried the new Spiced Pepsi 🤢. I asked what spices and she says “raspberry” ??? Umm, raspberry’s not a spice. It smelled like bubblegum. Great Clips was spray painting peoples hair (or beards) in team colors, that was amusing to watch.
Arena crowd was fun, people are happy and having a good time. Hubby wore his St Paul Fighting Saints jersey and had lots of people ask about it. Looking forward to a good game on Saturday. Had a fabulous brisket sandwich from Revival.
Note: Due to inflation dirty deeds will no longer be done dirt cheap.
If Broz is the hero again Saturday I think I will be ill.
A bittersweet illness? Chances are he won’t be the hero Saturday…should be a good game.If Broz is the hero again Saturday I think I will be ill.
@kelly-red Where are your seats? I saw a Saints jersey near 122 but did not see (or missed) you.

No thanks. Conference loyalty is lame. And I would sooner cut off my own arm than ever cheer for Michigan anyways.
Go BC. The Alliance lives! (if you know you know)
