Gophers debuts new Iron Range (Taconite) alternate jerseys.

Coming on Friday the 13th… New Iron Range Alternate jerseys from the Gophers.

It has been a few years in the making, but the new “Taconite” colored jerseys will be making their debut against Michigan State on Friday, December 13th. The players on the 2022/23 team originally came up with this jersey and they were ordered when the new white, maroon and gold jerseys were ordered. It just took much longer for Nike to get them completed.

These new jerseys were finally arrived this fall, but took time to get finished locally with new players and current players changing numbers this season.

They are finally complete, but it the reception so far has been what I expected. Some like them, some hate them. But the players themselves wanted this non-traditional look for a 4th jersey. And you knew there would be haters no matter what the team did.
