There is no deal to work out. FFP is a joke that only the country club/cartel care about and now the hammer will be dropped on it. Let's go City!

PS - The best side effect of this will be Pep extending his contract even further.

Bad couple of days for the EPL in the Champions League. First Tottenham get run out with a pretty lame effort and then Liverpool get bounced after going ahead n Extra Time on aggregate.

I never thought I'd have the opportunity to celebrate St Totteringham's Day within 6-7 months of Jose Mourinho taking over as coach. Of course Arsenal can still Arsenal it (like in the Europa league) but seeing the meltdown at White Hart Lane puts a grin on my face.

Seeing some soccer highlights and even though the stadium is empty there are enough people to make some noise so it's nice. Much better than watching eSports...

There really might be something to the fact the Gophers are used to playing in front of mostly empty arenas...

Well the Loons looked like trash for 60 minutes but somehow stole 3 points from SKC tonight. SKC lost their keeper to a red card and that was a huge help.

It seems like all these games are being played on the same field in Orlando. Won’t the field be extremely beat up shortly?

It looks like the whole complex has 8+ fields, from the "aerial" shots I've seen. Like, last night RSL and Colorado were warming up on the field next to us as our game was finishing up.

Or, do they then come over to the field where we just played our game, and the other field is only used for warmups? You'd think they'd rig up several fields with cameras so they don't have to use just one.

One would get chewed up beyond recognition. I’d guess they’ll use all 8

Nice to see us advance! But I still wish we wouldn't sit back after we score a goal, and just let the other team control the game.

It'll be interesting to see us play SJ, a real clash of styles. Although we did already beat them 5-2 this year, in the before times. Seems like an eternity ago.

I'd also prefer to see less egregious fouls in the box that allow the tying goal to happen.

Do you mean you want the fouls to be less egregious, or do you want to see fewer of the fouls?

Well I’d prefer none in the penalty area. That was a bad foul in a lot of ways and was pretty unnecessary.

Well - Arsenal have won another FA Cup (14th time) so they’re getting back into the Europa League.

Not excited about the Europa League but Arteta seems to be making his mark on the team since they’ve beaten Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea all in the past month. Now we will see if this is enough to keep Aubameyang in North London...he’s an absolute stud

They deserved to win today, but damn that was ugly. The three injuries for Chelsea hurt a lot.. Kovacic never should have been sent off. Taylor was brutal, but he wasn't the reason that Chelsea lost.

Convincing win for the Loons tonight! Heath has to get a ton of credit for the tactics today. He got it absolutely right, and neutralized what has been a really high powered attack.

Onto the semis!

So the goal is to win the tournament and qualify for the champions league or whatever it's called here. But I'm having a hard time seeing how the 2021 champions league can happen with so few leagues playing that should be generating the qualifiers.

I saw an amazing stat yesterday. Manchester United hasn’t lost a Premier League game that they’ve lead at halftime since 1984. The streak has crossed 291 games and I think only about 20 of them even ended in a draw

"Fergie time" helped with that streak.

Kind of important to mention the streak is only for home matches. Just for some reference here is all EPL clubs' home record after leading at halftime:

2018-19: 106 wins, 16 draws, 4 losses

2017-18: 103 wins, 12 draws, 9 losses

2016-17: 117 wins, 13 draws, 5 losses

So clubs from the very top of the league to the very bottom had a 95.3% no-loss rate after leading at halftime at home.

I missed that part when I initially read it. Not as impressive i guess

And yes Sir Alex definitely had a lot to do with it. Neither Moyes nor Mourniho screwed I tip either

They haven’t found a striker still that can put the ball in the net. Also having Opara out all year and Alonso missing a large part of it hasn’t helped them defensively

First choice keeper having season ending surgery after 3 matches hasn't helped either.

Opara being out sucks, he's so good back there. And Ozzie being out really hurts, too. But to be honest I don't think Ozzie has much tread on the tire left, so we need to learn to not be so reliant on him. It has been nice to give Dotson an extended run in that #6 role. I think he is going to be the guy there going forward, and he needs minutes.

I think Boxall has been brilliant this year. He's a great CB. Might even go so far as to say that when Opara is back, those two might be the best CB tandem in the league. If not the top, they're one of the best.

Reynoso definitely has the quality. We just need to get him playing with Amarilla, and the rest of that front 3 consistently, and I think the chemistry will develop. He got absolutely robbed a couple times of what should have been his first MLS goal.

With YouTube TV dropping FSN, I gotta find a new way to watch the Loons. Cry Might do ESPN+, with a VPN.

Best player in MLS history and he was 36. What a legend both of the game and for his quotes.

I didn't realize he had surgery for a blood clot in his brain earlier this month. Yikes. Sounds like he was in rough shape.

There's probably not a footballer loved more by his country anywhere in the world like Argentina loved Maradona.

He was basically the 80s and early 90s version of Zlatan in terms of personality.

As I joked with someone he's able to go talk to God about one particular handball. The video is still one of the greatest goals scored ever in a World Cup in my opinion.
