One team having both pucks at the same time would be a NIGHTMARE for the other team's goalie. 😀
Dumb question - does anyone know if the meters downtown St. Paul are actually still free on Sundays if there is an event? The meter wouldn’t let us pay (at 2:30) and the website isn’t updated past October. We didn’t want to risk it so overpaid for a lot but for future reference….
Leafs are talented, with more defensive structure from Berube, good early season test! Ryan Hartman is such a PEST! Puck went off Hartman chest, then Tavares stick, good goal, big 1st goal
I guess tackling anyone who gets within 15 feet of your net could be considered defensive structure. Reaves going after Hartman there (for being held down for 30 seconds by Benoit) is more than he ever did in a Wild sweater.

Seriously man why do you watch? You seem miserable. Are you watching solely to find stuff to complain about?
Wow, Dirty penalty by Ekman Larson. Wild with 4 minute power play.
What a great backcheck by Spurg to set the GWG in OT. Nice.

Bingo 100%! Great play by Spurgeon & a sweet finish by Boldy! 👍What a great backcheck by Spurg to set the GWG in OT. Nice.

Usually if a meter doesn't let you pay that means it is off.

yea….it wasn’t event time yet and we didn’t want to have to come back later to find out if events on Sundays count. 🤷♀️
Is there an option to watch the Wild that doesn't involve paying a sports gambling enterprise? They are playing well enough I am considering paying the extra fee, but will not if it goes to a sports gambling enterprise.
(It is really troubling, to me, the sheer amount of advertising from BetMGM, DraftKings, FanDuel, etc... I take exception to how closely knit it has become with the leagues themselves, such that the odds are found right on NHL.com now. Not only do I not care for gambling, but by officiating in the NCAA I agree that I will not gamble on any sport in which the NCAA sponsors a championship. Many officials still casually gamble on sports, but I don't. I am not interested in supporting, in any way, supporting a sports gambling company)

I get your point, but FanDuel doesn't own the rights to the games. They pay Diamond sports for the naming rights of the station, so Diamond Sports still owns the station and pays the teams for the broadcast rights. It's like 3M Arena @ Mariucci. So no matter what format you get the Wild games on, FanDuel will be "network" so to speak that broadcasts the games.

Sorry, I don't understand how the TV and broadcast rights and things work... So If I sign up for the stream... I still have to watch it through the FanDuelSportsNetwrok app... Do they not get revenue from the ads and such that show up through that app? Or does that go to Diamond Sports and FanDuel is simply paying for naming rights, and only getting advertising by having their name out there?
I assumed they would get part of the revenue for anything generated through the app and such. But again, I don't know how any of this works. Much like the Grandma and the cloud "that's not how this works, that's not how any of this works."
If it is strictly a naming thing, like 3M Arena at Mariucci, I may change my opinion. If I help them generate revenue, that's a hard pass.
This is the press release when they agreed to work together. Not sure if this clears things up for you.

The Wild with another road win this time 5-2. They already have 7 road wins (7-1-1 on the road) along with being 3-1-1 at home.
Who had the Wild 10-2-2 after 14 games this season? They've out scored their opponents 52-37 while playing four more road games then home games.

What a goofy roadtrip for the Wild. 2 in Cali and then fly to Chicago. Not sure why the schedule makers couldn't figure out a 3rd game out on the west coast.

I wondered about the sudden rash of injuries. Zucc being out hurts, but it's nice to hear the others are okay.
Last night during the 4-minute power play, Kaprisov was slashed hard on the wrist and in obvious pain. This happened right in front of the official and there was no call. I get that officials don't want to overtly control the outcome of a game, but that was a blatant stick infraction that needed to be called.
Not calling penalties makes them look incompetent and might very well affect the game. (If Montreal scored a shorty, for example, the official's non-call could have made a difference in the outcome.)
Agree the slash on KK while Wild on power play should have drawn another penalty, although one handed, was a textbook slash to the wrist/hands area. KK painful reaction to this slash makes me think he doesn’t wear slash guards on his wrists, which I find somewhat surprising.I wondered about the sudden rash of injuries. Not calling clear penalties IS overtly controlling the outcome. If one team is simply committing more penalties, letting them get away with it artificially tilts the game in their favor.I get that officials don't want to overtly control the outcome of a game, but that was a blatant stick infraction that needed to be called.
If it's a true judgement call, "maybe it's a penalty, maybe not" then, sure, let it go. I didn't see the play here, but, it sounds like it was an obvious slash. By letting things like that go, it just encourages more of it, and will lead to more injuries/etc.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?

As a male, I'm not sure I really want to know the answer to this. But Zucc seemed to take a slap shot in the crotch. Then it is announced he needs surgery? What kind of surgery could that be?

Sure seems like the Wild and Wolves have a hell of a time beating Dallas.
I want to see more of Fluery in net, Gus is good but Fluery is Hall of Fame material
Aloha!

at this point in his career, he is no longer playing at that level. The split seems good right now where it’s at

Well, Gus leads the NHL in GAA and is 2nd in SV%, so I think it is warranted.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
Gus is on pace for 64 games. I doubt you'll see a goalie this year play more than 65 games. The days of a starting goalie playing 72-74 games (Brodeur, Roy, Fuhr, etc.) are long gone.
Gus is posting top 5 stats over more than just a small sample size. His playing time should reflect that. If they benched him and split him and MAF 50/50, that would be a pretty hard sell to the team in front of them and the fan base. MAF is here to play an occasional game.
So the Wild split how you would expect with a #1 and a #2 goalie, rather than a team with a 1a and a 1b or a starter who isn't as good but still has a good backup. Last year Hellebuyck (Vezina winner) played 60 games.

He was. Even with one you can take something at an angle that messes things up. He’s still probably happy he had one.

as it should be with MAF playing spot duty when Gus needs a rest.

also why you just don't do that on a puck on edge
If any other player faced the crap Kaprizov does on a regular basis indictments would be handed out. The NHL just continues to shrug when 'ole number 97 gets cheap-shotted.

Obviously Fleury wound up being pretty good tonight, but that start was hilarious given the posts leading up to it. 😃
It was smooth along a fresh sheet of ice and about the exact same time Fluery started to swing his stick, the puck hopped 4-5". That's just terrible luck.Wow sure glad Fleury finally got a start. 😂

Evidently KK knee all swelled up no go tonight. 🙁
That was an ugly open ice hit he took where Oiler hung a leg. Adrenaline & not swelled (yet) got him through that game. Hopefully only misses a few games🤞
Oilers are in St. Paul 12/12. I’d usually say McDavid or Draisaitl better grow eyes on the back of their heads, but who are we kidding there will be no response.
@karlsson Let’s just retaliate against the offender & leave it at that…but that guy should definitely have to answer the bell with Foligno and/or Begosian
