Other than the loss, Mrs Lincoln enjoyed the show.
PJ Fleck said that about Penn State in his interview with PA on KFAN yesterday. It has been a long minute since I've heard that musing...it's too good to not use it more.
I am theofficial Iowa Hawkeye football fan of GPL!
@bigbeer You are 100% correct on the handcuffs and what he walked into.
but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t doable.
you would have had to bite a bullet one way or another.
I would have gone the route of trading one of a Foligno or Greenway type of contract along with two replacements.
In a league that is going all talent and all scoring I would have kept the 26 year old 80-100 point guy to tandem with the other 100+ pt guy for the foreseeable future.

Not trading Kahkonen or resigning MAF would have helped in that direction.
I might also argue that Fiala had a career year last year and may never have that many points again. They may have also seen enough of his inconsistency and disappearing in the playoffs.
@bigbeer a career year peak at 25 seems like a stretch especially when all of his underlining numbers back it up. And playing with a Center like Gaudreau who is no where near a top 6 NHL center in any way shape or form, or top 9 player. As well as 2nd hand PP minutes most of the year.
I would bet pretty heavy he is a point per game player for the foreseeable future. Time will tell.
Fiala has been a dog in the playoffs every year and they had to find room somewhere. There was no easy way to come out of that. The MAF gig however is 100% worth criticism.
They’ve looked better the last couple games. Not very good, but better. Fleury was pretty great in this one in my opinion. Especially in the third and overtime.
2022 OUTDOOR PRACTICE PRESENTED BY ORORO NOVEMBER 5 | RECREATION OUTDOOR CENTER
Outdoor Practice is back again! Join us on Saturday, November 5 at Recreation Outdoor Center at St. Louis Park Rec Center as the Minnesota Wild will hold an open, outdoor practice. Practice is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. and last approximately 60 minutes. Fans are encouraged to arrive early as space is limited.
St. Louis Park started doing this a few years ago. They convert the ROC to an ice rink in mid October. They have pulled it off even with days in the mid 70s. They put in a new refrigeration system and it’s very efficient, and much more than extra cost keeping it frozen in warm weather is made by being the only outdoor rink open for months. It is covered so the sun doesn’t hit it.
? with a wicked awesome save with about 16 seconds left in the first.

Toews with a nice spear to the store of Addison with about two minutes left in OT. What a puke.
