The NHL dug deep into the dregs of the WWF for tonight's clown show crew.

That non call when they mugged Boldy was ridiculous & led to Jets goal ?
Cheap ass hit by a former DUHluth player...

Jest coach is a complete POS, which makes him a perfect fit for the team

I’ll characterize it as a cheap hit by former Hermantown SandBagger…although at least his old man calls HT out for it! ?Cheap ass hit by a former DUHluth player...

Without looking at the scoresheet.... Justin St. Pierre and Jean Hebert?
EDIT: Hey, I was half right. Honestly, the French Canadians... not real great IMHO.

Whoa.....50%. Herbert was one and something called Trevor Hanson was the other.

Ever seen a guy with the puck get called for interference? That was a first for me
Not since Medo retired.

I am actually slightly surprised it wasn't Justin St. Pierre. He is one of the least liked officials in the league, by players, coaches, and fans. I am really surprised he still works for the NHL honestly. If he had one more color on his flag, I can guarantee he would not be employed by the NHL.
The French Canadians in general seem to have more off-games and WTF calls than the others, St. Pierre being the worst (and I am not the only one with that opinion)
Anyone else's Wild thread (and only their Wild thread) have some goofed up sizing/spacing? ?

Not at the moment but earlier everything was um…enlarged.
The Wild will be done after the 1st round of the playoffs both Colorado and the hated Stars are better
Aloha!
Maybe they should just skip the travel and save jet fuel. ?

It was for me for a few days until yesterday but now is all good.
Colorado is better than everyone, if they're healthy. A series with Dallas would probably come down to goaltending. If they stick with Fleury, I don't see them having much of a chanceThe Wild will be done after the 1st round of the playoffs both Colorado and the hated Stars are better
It's the playoffs, anything can happen. The Wild could flame out in four, but they could also win a few rounds - especially that post All-Star team that ran them right back into contention to potentially win the division.
It was for me, looks like it cleaned up when it rolled to a new page. It happens every now and thenIs this thread displaying oddly for anyone else?
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
On paper, nobody is going to stop Colorado. Stranger things have happened, though.
Fleury was not good at all last night, in my opinion. His attempt to stop the pass out front on the third goal was comical.
This game is an example of why there is still fighting in the NHL. Evanson got tired of the cheap shots, many of which were uncalled. The interference call against Hartmann was legit, but the added two minutes for roughing was a complete joke. That was a case of a ref who just wanted to add another penalty when no infraction was committed. That is not in the rulebook!
Oilers might be able to stop Avs in West. Gusto getting HOT is Wilds only chance to win a round in playoffs. Wild are a team built for regular season moderate success, not playoff success when the physically ramps up significantly. Got a chance vs Dallas, but little to no chance vs Avs.On paper, nobody is going to stop Colorado. Stranger things have happened, though.

couldn't disagree more about the call on Hartman. The guy with the puck is allowed to throw a checkOn paper, nobody is going to stop Colorado. Stranger things have happened, though.

He had just gotten rid of the puck. I guess the minutia of the rulebook can be argued but the ref's interpretation was that a check in that case was not allowed.
He's having a hearing for it, so apparently DOPS didn't think it was allowed either.
If it was Hartman watching his pass and not paying attention and Ehlers throws that same hit on Hartman, do you think Ehlers gets an interference penalty? I really don't believe that the NHL would consider that interference.couldn't disagree more about the call on Hartman. Well, the on-ice official made the call, and it was validated by the suspension. I'm not sure what the argument is about. The call was made and the situation was reviewed. There's no Supreme Court of refereeing, and fans don't get a vote anyway.
Now, if you want to really get me worked up, just try and tell me that call against Cooley with 5 frickin minutes left in the season was reasonable!
The Wild leave 7 players in MN for final game
Aloha!
When Sammy was called up you knew they were fielding their AHL squad for the last game that doesn't matter.
Bet Gus the Bus is thrilled he has to play goalie tonight behind the preseason Wild squad.

Novak looks really good. He’s probably on the All-American mural right now if he stays healthy at the U.
Novak isn't american. He's from wisconsin
Guerin signs extension... I will just stay here for some of the people's reactions.

I have my doubts. I remember him as a player with the skating, the skill, and the shot—and the guy who never hit his ceiling while he was here.
Novak has improved steadily since high school, but he was on a 7-year arc. ?
It's possible he just wasn't a good fit for college...
gotta give him credit for being smart enough to do it before the playoffs startGuerin signs extension... I will just stay here for some of the people's reactions.
I just have to say I really like the picture they use with the article. Kaprizov and Boldy in those beauties.
I'm fine with Guerin and don't disagree with the idea this team could beat last year's team. I like our core / nucleus of players and love we have Boldy under contract and seemed to have found a goalie in Gus. We weren't going to keep everyone and while having Fiala would be nice, I'm not devastated about the situation.
I think the Wild are as in as good of a position as they have been in the past decade. Maybe not as exciting as when Parise and Suter were first announced, but see where that got us.
My yearly complaint about late start times in the playoffs is due. I know it will never change but hopefully some year the Wild can make it deep enough where the start times are normal. It will likely be one period games for me. Thanks NHL.
This would be awesome!!

So you need to subscribe to Bally's, TNT and ESPN to watch all of the NHL playoffs? Three different streamers? No thanks.
If you have cable, you get ESPN, TNT & TBS. Or if you don’t have cable, I believe you can get the Wild games paying for Bally’s streaming. If neither works, you can always watch at a bar. ?So you need to subscribe to Bally's, TNT and ESPN to watch all of the NHL playoffs? Three different streamers? No thanks.

So we’re thinking Stars in 4?
I think Gustavsson will have to outplay Oettinger by quite a bit for the Wild to win the series. Would also help a lot if Spurgeon and/or Brodin could show up for a playoff series at some point. So we’re thinking Stars in 4?
