Crazy how many NTDP kids are uncommitted. Cool to see compared to a couple years ago when they were all committed prior to making the team.
Will Smith seems destined for BC. Have to ever had a Mass kid play for Gophers? I can think of any. Most of them seem to stay east.
Top 3 scorers in Smith, Oliver Moore, and Gabe Perreault all uncommitted
Pure speculation mixed with some hope.
Smith to BC
Moore to MN!!
Perreault to Michigan/Notre Dame.
Hendrickson to MN when he can commit.
No idea on Sawchyn.
Get Oliver Moore for the name alone.
How old is Oliver Moore?
Old enough to commit

"Gracyn Sawchyn" is the most UND name I've ever heard in my life
Speaking of names from the Players to Watch list, Teddy Townsend is a great name. Very Eden Prairie and sounds like his dad works in finance. If he were to play here I’m sure it would fit right in with the “cake eater” image our rivals have of us

Is Sawchyn for sure going the college route? I believe his family moved here from Edmonton, if memory serves.
Formerly known as davey j.

He was the 1st overall pick in the WHL US draft and had his rights traded this year
Will Smith to BC confirmed.

Yep, 14 year old has good size already at 6 foot
Yes. Bill Kohn’s son is on the same team. Thomas and Bill are assistant coaches.
As long as we’re throwing out names of alumni sons…

I’ll add another…Mike Crowley’s son should be on Eden Prairie varsity this year as a sophomore.
So just in the past few days I’ve seen Vanek, Spehar, Broten, Kraft and Crowley. My goodness

Time is a flat circle.
Our number one target in high school this year should be Danny Nelson of Maple Grove. The kid is just straight up good at hockey no other way to put it.
Feel like he will head to South Bend but no doubt we should have heavy interest in him
No Gophers commits yet but 3 of the those uncommitted are from MN.

Another outstate MN kid from Sherburn, which is along I90 between Jackson and Fairmont
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
Another small town goalie from outstate Mn, Hobie Hedquist, is from Heron Lake, which is near Worthington is committed to the Whioux. Good to see smaller towns in southern Mn developing players. Can add Brody Lamb to the outstate players as well.

Good to see another kid from close to my hometown doing well. It’s just too bad he’s committed to North Dakota But in all seriousness, regardless of who it’s for, it’s fun to see guys from that area of the state play, or at least commit to play, division 1 hockey. As big as hockey is down there in fandom, it’s no secret that southwest Minnesota isn’t very strong when it comes to their high school teams and the amount of players that go to a high level. Growing up I don’t think I really saw anyone go D1. It’s fun to see that change.
Maybe Bob should try grabbing Logan Cooley off the U-18 roster for the second half. Wouldn’t that be nice.

Just waiting for his commitment to Michigan
One of Mike's kids?

Let the elementary school kids play hockey and not give out prizes
Just think in 10 years we hope that he will be wearing Maroon and Gold..

It’s part of all YHH tournaments. If you’re a youth hockey social media company you might as well make the tourneys fun by posting photos of kids who have good games.
They also have a computerized ranking for each level based on scores reported to the site. As it turns out the rankings are fairly accurate. And it’s nice to know what to expect heading into tourney.

Eden Prairie has some of the ugliest unis in youth hockey…and for absolutely no reason.
Chisago Lakes and Greenway still out in front though.
Anyone have any insight on Oliver Moore. Do we have a shot at him or any idea where he's leaning?

Ya, he looks a little small anyway.
Very big news coming soon. Potentially biggest coup since Kessel.

This would have to be Cooley
No chance we get Cooley…right?
Could be Moore…
He said Kessel level. Cooley is the only one that fits
Gonna be skeptical up until the second he commits I had no clue we had any chance at him
Keep in mind someone posted with complete confidence that Bobby Brink was committing here
Maybe Dean Blais is gonna come coach
Connor Bedard pulls NCAA eligibility out of his a$$ and commits here :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh:
Yeah, my first thought upon reading that was us flipping Cooley somehow.
Being a local kid, I would consider us as Moore frontrunners so I don't think coup when I think of him.
Would flipping someone like Stramel fit? Doesn't seem kessel level to me
Biggest coup SINCE Kessel. That wouldn't necessarily mean Kessel level. You'd have to biggest coup after him which would be what, Ranta? If you're talking about flipping someone. Many flips could be above Ranta level. Isaac Howard, etc. Some people would put Maddox Fleming above a Ranta level flip.
Basically, could be one of like 25 players.
Wouldn’t be Kessel level imo
Once again assuming it’s all fake until it happens
Edit: referring to Stramel
Wait, I hadn't heard this yet: "Cooley, who re-opened his NCAA recruiting this fall opting not to sign a Letter of Intent, no doubt raised some eyebrows when he earned a top-six center role on the US World Junior team."

Yep he decommitted from Notre Dame awhile ago once he realized Jeff Jackson wants him to go high off the glass 14 times a night

NTDP U17 leading scorer Gabe Perreault?
