Every day I inch closer and closer to the bring Eisy in next year train. Not quite there but boy it’s tempting.
I know it’s not this simple, but I’d bring him in next fall. Accelerate school this summer if needed.
Good lord.

Just blows right past that future Siouxage defenseman. Get this kid on campus tomorrow.
I agree, get Eiserman on campus this summer! Then talk the first line into coming back and win it all at the X next year for another Back to Back!
Going back to back at the X would make my life complete
I would LOVE to have Eiserman on campus as soon as possible. But, he would be a very rare player who would be barely 17 at the start of the season. We also need to remember that his advisors may have a plan for his long term development which may include a full year of dominating the U18's. There may be a fear that his production may go down if he plays college next year against much older and bigger players which would hurt his draft status. That said, if he accelerates his education, and he, Bob and his advisors think it is ok, then bring him in. But, I won't be disappointed if he waits a year.
For reference-- He will turn 17 on August 29th.
Macklin Celebrini will turn 17 on June 13th and he is going to BU in the fall.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.

His development this year certainly has proved a few people wrong. Patience is sometimes needed when evaluating young players.

Agree — he is a very young 17 year old. I think almost everything has to do with emotional maturity (and physical as he will be playing against some players who are 7-8 years older) not hockey skill, and there is no way for most of us to comment on that. To be essentially 16, I think he would have to be 1) essentially a generational talent, 2) strong beyond years, 3) be emotionally mature and 4) have support system.I would LOVE to have Eiserman on campus as soon as possible. If I were his parent, and he didn't have all of these, I'd say to him: "lets not mess this up"
Random curiosity, could a player go PSEO and play a variety sport? Just curious on the rules.
I agree with all of this, but also have to point out that this is a kid whose parents sent him half way across the country at 13-14 years old just for hockey. He's spent most of his life playing hockey at a level that he "probably wasn't ready for"Agree — he is a very young 17 year old. If he wants to play at the U next year, you make that happen.

How ridiculous would it be for him and Cooley to be on the same team?
A team with Cooley, Snuggy, Eiserman, Moore, Hendrickson, and the rest of the returning guys would be a lot of fun to watch. We'd have 2 deadly PP units and might even score more gpg than we have this year.
I'm curious if Cooley will be around next year. I have a feeling he will be gone
Random thought but Brodie Ziemer might be the next Kyle Rau or at least Kyle Rau type guy. Skill-grit combo, wears a letter for the NTDP. Will be a 3-4 year impact player I can’t wait to see.
Who will we watch go in the NHL draft after Oliver Moore gets taken top 10? Next would probably be Hendrickson, Townsend, Mittelstadt. Clark and/or Nevers could go late in the draft.
Hendrickson likely the favorite though would not be stunned if Mittelstaedt got love as an overager. Was a bit surprised he went undrafted.
Agree on Ziemer. Seems like the rare glue guy with high skill.
Luke Mittelstadt will be a stud next year and a feature of the player next yearHendrickson likely the favorite though would not be stunned if Mittelstaedt got love as an overager. Was a bit surprised he went undrafted.

He started off the year slow with 1 point in his first 10 USHL games but has 26pts in the last 25. The U18’s play less USHL games but he’s 7th in scoring between the 2 teams. He just didn’t light up some of the lesser teams in some of those tournaments like some of the other guys. I heard he was a defenseman at one point like his brother and that seems to translate if true, plays a 200 foot game but still brings some pretty good offense. Plays in all situations for the 17’s. Reminds me of Rau or a Parise as well, not going to stick handle through a team but still consistently put up points and score goals around the crease.

we need more of those guys. They thrive in postseason play as well.
Cmon Moore, put on your recruiting hat and bring Hagen's here.

Clark two more points yet again!

Javon Moore might have had his first USHL goal but right now it stands as his first USHL assist. Either way, way to go Javon!
Watching Ziemer and Whipple take on Clark. Clark is super noticeable. Freaky fast and crazy skilled. Might land a Jimmy Johns NIL deal once he makes it to Dinkytown ?
Clark has produced a ton in the second half and has worked his way to the 1C role for Green Bay. There was even a point in the game I’m watching where the Green Bay coach put Clark in to win a d zone draw (which he did) then took him right off. Like seeing that stuff.
anyone know why Clark isn’t on any draft lists? Curious, with his strong second half. I know there were some questions about his skating and toughness, but it sounds like he’s doing better(?) I haven’t watched him, just wondering if anyones seen him actually play a game (beyond highlights). I would’ve thought he’d slide into the picture. Stilll might and still has time.
Watched him last night. He looked really really good as Green Bay’s 1C. Was the fastest player on both teams. I bet you he gets selected by someone in the 6th or 7th round. If not he definitely will next year after dominating the USHL in his second year, assuming Bob sends him back which I hope he does.
Clark, Ziemer, Eiserman is the start of a scary good 2024 freshman forward class.

He dropped from 6 to 8. Gopherhole might explode.
Friendly reminder - the World U18 Championships start tomorrow, Apr. 20th & will be televised on NHL network. Team USA play Latvia at 9am CST.

Well, one ray of sunshine over there pointed out BC has 3 in the top 10. Nothing seems good enough for the Gophers in his eyes.

“10 players to watch at U18 Worlds”
No future Gophers listed so maybe this doesn’t belong here, but maybe interesting for tournament viewers.
How is Oliver Moore not a player to watch lmao. Maybe I’m missing the point of the list.

Moore, Hendrickson & Eiserman are on the U18 team that will play in this tournament - I assumed most knew about that hence why I posted in this thread.

Apparently, to be on the list if you're an American, you have to be committed to BC.
Sweden up 7-0 over Canada currently at the U18. ?
US and Latvia tied at 0 after 1.
Eiserman PP goal!
All he does is score
(End of 2nd)
USA leads 3-0 over Latvia

Does Canada still split up into 2 teams for the U18’s?

Assists to Eiserman & Hutson.

I don't ever remember them doing that (doesn't mean they didn't) but as of now they only have 1 U18 team.
It's possible they don't send their utmost best though because they're nowhere near as dominant in this tournament as they are in others.
Canada only sends one team to the U18's but the roster options are limited because of the CHL playoffs

Ok that makes sense.
