You could tell is wasn't pushing it at full speed, but will definitely be ready tomorrow. He will be on the 4th line, so that may help with limiting his minutes.

How are people feeling about the game? I don’t think BU is battle tested like the Gophers. They definitely haven’t seen a team like Minnesota yet.
They split with Michigan at Yost early in the season, so they have seen a team very much like MN. The loss was ugly. The win was tight. Those games were a long time ago.
I wasn't nervous about either regional game as we'd played St Cloud prior and I felt the Gophers were a class above both of those teams. I am more anxious about BU mostly because I haven't seen them play. I'd just like to see the Gophers come out of the gates with fire and hope BU can't hang.
I'd love for us to put up 3 in the first and be in control the whole way. However, I think we're going to see an early feeling out period with both teams being cautious. Will probably need someone to make a real good play or big hit to provide a spark and get things going.
I put very little stock in a series played in the second week of October. Both teams, especially Michigan (the youngest team) are much different by now.

3-1 Gophers
It’s funny you say that I had that exact score pictured in my head. I feel like fans expect this one to be high flying with how much talent is on both rosters but I have a feeling both teams are ready to lock it down defensively.

I concur, barring an ENG. 3-1 MN.
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
Legs feed the wolf. Go for it boys! When it’s down to four it’s about attitude now, last year I think they just lacked that something and Mankato knew they had that magic going for them and were a little more hungry. This year I like the gopher’s depth and the experience. They have what it takes this time and I feel like they’re just more ready for it. Go get it fellas’s!!
The first two periods will be key. Neither team gives up leads after 2. The Gophers are 22-0. BU is 21-1. Get an early lead, play smart and try to add to it.
We have been blessed the entire year with some of the prettiest goals ever scored in Gopher history. But the rest of the way I have a feeling it’s going to be the dirty goals produced by hard work and physicality that are going to bring home a championship.
There is a watch party at Keg and Case in St. Paul that I'm probably going to attend. Let me know if you do and I'll purchase you a beer or whatever else you prefer. (Not rube tho i don't buy sam adams)

Neither do I, unless it's Utopias. 😉

Does the U list their watch parties anywhere? I live not far from campus so I’ll prob go there and watch but wouldn’t mind checking one of those out in the future.

3-1 Gophers
I'm feeling like 2 -1 ( perhaps in OT and I'm not certain who will be the winner )
Go Gophers!
Not knowing what to do, they do what they know . . .
Knowing what to do, they sometime don't do it . . .
The 26th year of the Gopher Men's Hockey Profile got to be too much for this ol' codger to handle . . . what with all of the possible activity on the transfer portal . . . . So, I'm closing it down at the 25th year . . .
Our hotel has little mini posters that only the season ticket holders could get at Mariucci. Available for anyone who wants one here….
The Gopher pep rally locale had two choices for booze (high noon or wine) which both depleted rather quickly. Patrons were told to go across the street to the local market to buy beer. (Supposedly a shipment of booze did not arrive in time). Tampa assigned the Naked Farmer to the UMN alumni assoc. as our rally location.
Please let your friendly AD know how disappointing this was.
that being said, nerves are building. GO GOPHERS!!
It was interesting on who Bob had out to face the media. Johnson and a couple of youngsters. I wonder if the other captains were busy with ESPN. Glad to see Chesley and Snuggy getting some national facetime.

Glad they only allowed me to get 1 poster even though I pay for 2 seats . ?
We did go across the street and bought a 12 pack. Probably ended up saving us money.
I did see a fan display some rude behavior. Non GPLer I think. Will tell the story later.
Got my pic with Mayasich and Micheletti. Pat even shook my hand and asked what our names were. Class act. Louie was also there along with Jim Boo and a few others.
Last years social was much better. Maybe because it was inside a bar and it made it look fuller and louder.
Even though the venue of the social wasn't ideal, it was fun seeing old friends and making new ones.
We wondered over to Splitsville for a few afterwards. I think (hope) they will be prepared for what is about to hit them today.
