I bought the tickets off of a STH. Plus the student section was full and I notice students drifting into 15 and 16.

Like I said, I don't mind the students who fill the empty seats. They are mostly respectful and less intrusive than the youth. Luckily, now it seems that the seats and rows next to us are only used for the youth teams are for the lesser attended games. Before our latest FF runs, it was non stop. I know some might suggest we move, but we love where we sit and we are close to the exits to get to our car after the game for a quick parking lot exit.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
Isn't that something that it took a bunch of fans on a message board to convince Bob to try taking Pino out of the rotation?Strobel-Clark-Mittelstadt needs to be the 4th line every night from here on out
As far as the game, like others have noted, I really liked the Gophers play in the 1st and 3rd periods. Moore was just buzzing. He looks totally different than his first few games of the year. There were 3 glaring giveaways to OSU, with Fish, Koster and Nevers gifting them prime chances. Some fans are down on Pino, but for me, Fish makes me cover my eyes when he is on the ice. Maybe the lack of ice time from prior years is catching up to him. As Bob said, OSU will push back tonight, so the Gophers better be ready to go. Would love to see the PK clean things up and need to get Brodzinski going on a heater again. Will be interesting how this years Gold out goes. Last year was not good. Let's get Culvers again tonight.

Came here to post this also. This group has sustained pressure in the offensive zone and created legitimate scoring chances when they are together. Don’t over think it Bob, keep those 3.
Problem is Pino is a “Bob guy”. Someone he brought with him from St. Cloud. Bob clearly struggles with sitting Pino even if it’s the clear thing to do. I hate to say it but I’d expect Pino in the lineup tonight.
You sir have a highly refined sense of smell to be able to tell what the fart emitter was eating.Though the disturbing part was the female was eating hot dogs and farting throughout the game. My wife was looking at me thinking it was me. And I told her those smell like hotdogs, I ate chicken and rice.

OSU had to push back in the second just to get back in the game. Fortunately for them, the Gophers came out like the game was already won. They made amends in the third, but that second period was terrible both in terms of lackluster physical play and some pretty horrible mental mistakes. All three of the giveaways you mentioned are a result of a team going through the motions.
I know the fourth line has been a lively topic, and that's a lucky thing for the Nelson line. Aside from playing responsibly in their own end, they have been a head-scratcher this season for me. They're supposed to be the older line made up of cagey veterens. Brodzinski needs to shoot the puck and score for that line to click. As it stands, they are a defensive specialty line.
I suggested that maybe in practice they are only using the west end of the ice and instead need to start practicing in both directions.
I kid of course. 😉
I haven’t had a chance to verify with someone at the ticket office yet, but as a zone 1 ticket holder (no donation required) it looks like next year they will take away the ability to purchase a parking pass (and I’ll lose one of the gopher score benefits) unless I give them another $100.
can anyone verify this?
If this is true then I guess I’m done getting parking passes (which aren't a savings over gen-pop pricing anyways). It sounds like just another way to take advantage of the die hard hockey fans. Take away from us unless we give you more money, but disguise it as a donation.
I can't VERIFY this, but that is exactly how I read it--we are in zone 2 so I remember thinking, "Oh, whew, I am exempt"...
...Although now I can't find the email or site that says this, so take it with a grain of salt.
sorry if you can’t read all the tiny words, I know on my phone at least GPL doesn’t allow you to enlarge an image:

I like to say I have great smell and sight at 20/15, but bad hoh and I hate things in my ears so hearing aids would drive me nuts.

Yes, they play great together and often spend a lot of time in the O zone and generate many scoring chances. The 18/24/22 line needs to pick it up, they are our weakest line right now.
Brodzinski had 3 golden opportunities to score yesterday unfortunately they didn't go in but if he keeps getting those chances they will. He is 3rd on the team in goals scored and in total points. Nelson is 5th in goals scored and in total points.
Lamb is 4th in goals scored and Rinzel is 4th in total points.
Brodzinski has 11 goals and 11 assists (22 points) in 23 games playing with Nelson and Nevers.
Knies last year had 21 goals and 21 assists (42 points) in 40 games playing with Cooley and Snuggy.
It’s petty but I take pleasure in the fact the Minnesota vs Ohio State is on Big Ten Network while Michigan playing Michigan State isn’t on TV. My god do their fans whine.. Since the Gopher football team is generally relegated to regional or smaller broadcasts for football(and I completely get why) vs Michigan it’s a nice payback.

I don’t know if I’m alone in this thought but Nevers looks back to me. Sure the points aren’t flowing right now but he looks more like himself than what he looked like in the first half. Must be fully over the concussion.
Coach mentioned earlier in the season that there is a big difference between being back from a injury in terms of playing games and being back to the point of playing like you normally do. There are multiple guys on this year's team who likely have been considerably impacted by injuries after coming back from them.

I want to hear "The Song" tonight!

Maybe I haven’t been paying as close attention as I thought to recent lineups but did Nevers and Brodzinski swap wings?
Pino back in as expected. Still don’t understand it
Wear gold tonight everyone! Last time about 100 people did so hoping for more tonight. 😂
I don't mind him rotating. They may forced, due to injuries, play him in the future. Keep him as sharp as possible.

It’s interesting that football comes through so well. Even with the stripes per sections. And hockey is so non compliant.

I’m liking Koster jumping in more and getting some good opportunities.
Carl Fish doing Carl Fish things.

it’s at least better than their last attempt, but I don’t think they have the marketing capabilities that they do for football.
Ollie (Oliver) hits the cross bar. The goals are going to come for him at some point and look out when it does.
BRODZINSKI!!!!!!!!!
2-0
Nevers sets him up
CHN is not updating and I can't watch, so I appreciate these updates.

I am streaming radio over my laptop. Big-time delay, but the updates are nice.

Dunlap for Ohio State
Gophers up 2-1
I don't have anything insightful to say about the game, but geez, I am glad Cam Thiesing is not on the Gophers because I cant' stand hearing Ben Clymer say "FECES!" every time he's involved in the play, and it would be miserable hearing it for the whole year...
Huglen hits the cross bar. Man we have hit a lot of posts and cross bars this season.
Pitlick with a rocket off of an Ollie face off win!!!!!!!
3-1
Don't blink or you will miss the goal.
At times you see a one timer off of a face off win when the center man draws the puck back to the player standing behind him but a one timer off of a sideways face off win like this takes extreme talent by Pitlick to hit it flush.
Nearly a replay of his first goal last night.

Begley can’t play at this level. Horrible d on the goal given up. Be all for just playing the 6 and if Bob wants to dress Pino he can do so as the extra skater.
overall talent disparity is heavy in the Gophers favor. Finish this weekend off right
Nelson!!!!!!
5-1
The Criticism Line now has two goals tonight.
Two quick goals by the Buckeyes.
Gophers lead 5-3 with 5 minutes left.
Apparently throwing an opponent's stick is not a penalty. 🤔
Ohio State gets called the second time. This time they fling the stick away getting called for interference.
Ohio State is getting frustrated.
Lamp Chop gets the empty netter. Brodzinski sets him up.
Between last night and to night nearly 5 minutes of empty net time and just got a goal.
Keep your stick on the ice...
The Ohio State captain spears Snuggy and gets kicked out of the game.
Nearly a replay of his first goal last night.
I said the same thing in a group text amongst friends.
