Looking for some Big Sky Bearfoots by Jeff Fleming. Our house is full of these bears from small to large. From hand-cast resin to chain saw carvings by Jeff himself. Over the years I've got to know Jeff, his wife and even son, Andy. They are always willing to help. Demdaco does most of their manufacturing outside of Jeff's chainsaw carvings. Though I have had a hard time finding what NCAA collections were done. All I'm curious about is Minnesota. I've found Michigan, Tennesse and Oregon over the years. And talking with Jeff and his son, they remember the NCAA collection, but not colleges were manufactured. I would assume they crafted the bears, and the college names were put on after but whoever was manufacturing them. If anyone knows of any Minnesota bears, I would appreciate it, as well as any other colleges.

With having lots of time sitting with my wife while she heals from surgery. I found images of Penn State, Kentucky, North Carolina and wisconSIN bears.

The U is pretty stingy with their logo. I’d be very surprised if they made one. Just get an evil M one and have it repainted with the proper !
Its always boggled my mind on how stingy the ‘U’ is with their logos and images. And I would be surprised if there’s a Minnesota version or versions. Though sometimes it’s interesting what you see ‘U’s images on over what you don’t.

Probably all depends on how much the school stands to make off something whether it’s worth their while. It is the University of Minne$ota…
All a school has to do is say, "Yeah, you can use our name." It costs NOTHING. It's pure profit. (at least to my understanding).
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
Im not a 100%, but you are right and wrong. I think colleges and whomever get a royalty. Maybe it’s a flat fee or % of every sale.
I know when I was using the KBC logo to make pucks and coasters. I called them and they said go ahead. I had them send me an email just for my protection over a verbal.
Same with Schell’s. They were all up for giving the rights at their logo and my plans. Though their lawyer got ahold of me and said they were going to backtrack. Since I was only making a small quantity of items, they are afraid of the Schell’s collectors somehow finding and wanting to know how and where they were made. I said no big deal. Their lawyer thanked me for doing it the right way. And it was near Schells Oktoberfest, since I was going, he had me over at his table for a beer.
And even Big Sky Carvers. I gave Jeff a chocolate bar with his bears on the cover from the candy store in Jordan. He thank me twice… for the candy bar and for reminding him to contact whomever makes the candy to sign more paper work.

What I am saying is, it costs nothing for the school. So any monies made, the school gets a cut.
