There's a LEGO Lord of the Rings game?!?!?!?!!? I want it NOW!
Anybody playing ACIII? Any impressions?
Pretty sure I will be getting it from Santa this year

A buddy of mine has finished it twice and is on his third time through.
I sampled it a couple times at his house and gotta admit, it's almost making me want to stop playing Halo 4 so I can finish ACI and ACII and go buy ACIII. It is pretty badass.

I decided to treat myself and get FIFA 13, ACIII, and NBA 2K13 (I hadn't bought a game in forever). NBA2k13 is pretty slick. It's almost too realistic at times. I'm a PG drafted by the Rockets and obviously I get a lot of playing time in lieu of Lin. Whenever I get moved over to SG and he's on the court, he rarely passes to me. I swear, the game accurately reflects intrateam issues. It's pretty awesome.
For whatever reason, I got bored of FIFA 13 really quick. It's not nearly as dynamic as some of the other soccer games I've played. I was pretty shocked how quickly I put down the controller. Obviously all sports games are the same thing over and over. But games like NBA2k13 and MLB The Show I didn't bore get bored with this quickly.
I still have yet to play ACIII.
I'm really surprised to hear you say that about FIFA 13, I think it's the best FIFA I've ever played. (Dating back to 09)
Love the new First Touch; the ball is more lively and unpredictable, makes it much more realistic I feel, you don't always have a perfect touch.
And the Career Mode is great now, you can now manage an International team along with your club team. I started a CM with Tottenham, and a few months into the season, I've got offers from Switzerland, Slovenia, and Finland. They also fixed the HORRIBLE player progression from FIFA 12.
But, I am a FIFA junkie. Definitely my favorite sports game.
Could be, but the games are terribly boring. (And I played soccer all my life.) At least in career mode.

Probably cuz soccer is boring

Ya can't just softball it in like that Was that stab courtesy of the interknife? or the iStab?
One game that I highly recommend is dishonored. Lots of fun and it allows you to use stealth to complete missions or you can go Rambo mode and kill everything in sight. However, your actions do have consequences.

If he's any kind of a man, it was the iStab.

Nope, Interknife. Shoddy manufacturing didn't even puncture the dermis.

THIS. They use the real music and dialogue from the movies. It's spectacular!
Soccer peaked as a sport with the release of Super Soccer for the SNES. The game is so simple, but that simplicity allows you to appreciate a true artist at work.

Up the difficulty? I'm playing on Legendary, and it's tough ... I get PUMPED when I score, haha.
Lego LoTR is awesome. Very in-depth game.
Lego LOTR is also a very challenging game...AND you can have a cooperative game with your kids. My kids are into crafts and cooking. The video game is much more fun for a nerdy dad.

"Analyst believes Microsoft will sell off its Xbox division, maybe even to Sony"
I've been a Sony fan since PS1. I sure as hell hope this guy's prediction doesn't play out. I also assume that if Microsoft does attempt to sell to Sony, the Justice Department will step in. Pretty sure the video games industry having a monopoly is as "bad" as the Post-It Notes industry (the DOJ blocked 3M from purchasing the office supplies division of Avery Dennison a few months back - although, I would argue the 3M-AD deal would have fostered growth not monopolistic stagnation and market abuse like a Sony-Microsoft deal would.)

Would both argue and say that Nintendo is still there, though?

Nintendo didn't quite go all the way but I believe that the console market will go the tablet route. Being able to grab your tablet head to a friend's house and play multi-player with your own screen is very temping. To have MS give that up would seem incongruous with their Win8 touch-tablet strategy.
I think Windows tablet is close to a failure. Have to remember though, this is just one analyst saying what he thinks will happen. Definitely not a sure thing.

The fact that I completely forgot Nintendo was still in the console arena is pretty telling...

They're definitely not overly popular among people over 16 anymore

Pretty sure Madden had to pay a huge class action suit after they had their monopoly due to 2k bowing out.

Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic.
I especially like #33, #16, #1, and #23.
Thoughts on the PS4? I only caught the end of the presentation, but I don't know that I see the big value prop yet.
Missed the presentation. I'll have to look it up online
In the article I read, they are really heavy on the social aspect of it. They're like "Seamlessly broadcast your PS4 activity to Facebook, and all your friends can see what you're doing!"
Who actually cares about any of that? Hey FB friends here is what game I'm playing!!!!
I hope the next Xbox doesn't focus on that as much, but I'm sure they will...
A couple of the cool things I read: No boot-up times, and you can play games while you download them.
If anything I don't want my friends to know how much videogaming I do.

Right?! My Xbox Live friends already know how much I am on that damn thing. I don't need EVERYONE knowing

A lot
:biggrin2:I haven't had much time for mine lately. I feel bad for it
This might be the first game generation I skip since we got the NES for Christmas during it's launch year.
Eff online gaming experience anything. Annoying. I play games to ESCAPE all you jackbags.
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
Completely agree. They're my escape, not my chance to deal with a higher concentration of asshats than I experience in any other given setting.
I like being in a squad/party with my friends on Battlefield since it's only you guys that can talk to each other. Thats basically all that I play, and since the new Battlefield comes out on the next gen I'll probably end up getting that and playing Battlefield for another 2 years
I've been playing the heck out of NHL 13 since I bought it. Me and my buddies put a lot of time into the EASHL mode online. Lots of fun!
My buddy in Phoenix and I have been doing the GM Connect for a few weeks on NHL 13. Pretty good stuff

2. Hold jaw to prevent it from dropping.
Love this series, I thought ACIII was great. Can't wait for this one.
I'm getting jacked for the Battlefield 4 premiere. All they've said so far is that it's going to be on next gen consoles and that they'd announce more stuff about it mid-early April
Has anyone played Injustice? Thoughts?
Any of you have kids that are into the Skylanders games? Pretty cool game, but brilliant on their part - every character is $10-15. I can't believe how much money we have sunk into those things!!!
