Coin flip imo. I got Kato but the game’s definitely going to overtime.
Not impressed with St. Cloud post Anhorn injury. NCHC title doesn’t change that. Wins over bad Duluth, UND and CC teams. I actually went and watched on Friday, they didn’t impress at all. Krannila and Okabe can play but that’s kinda it. Miller and Cruikshank are ok too.
Mankato also struggled against #57 LSSU recently. Scored on a last minute PP to win 2-1.
I think St. Cloud wins this game. But, I haven't been impressed by them at all lately. I actually like the Gophers regional.
Mankato's leading scorer David Silye left the game injured Saturday night from an open ice hit, haven't heard anything on his status. That could have an affect on their scoring ability. In post game they talked about "next man up" but Silye has been their go to scorer this season.

I got Jan winning a close one, these 2 teams can neutral zone trap each other to death. I do wish "corky" was still behind kato's bench though, smoking in between periods, memories...
Agree the Kato vs SCSU game is a coin flip. But SCSU has won 4 of 5 playoff games over Duluth & UND teams who were playing much better than earlier this season & a CC team that pulled off a huge upset. Underestimate them if you want, but they’re a dangerous team (so is Kato) Gophers are clearly the favorite, but winning this regional won’t be a stroll in the park. ☝️Coin flip imo. I got approved to be credentialed for Fargo. I will be heading up on Saturday. (If MN wins on Thr) I'd go up for more, but with Tampa and some surgery coming up in April I want to limit my time off. So I will drive up Saturday morning.

Cow fans here in Mankato are divided on how today is going to shake out, they feel they would be more confident facing the Gophers instead of Jan. I don't think the Cows have the horses to stay with Jan this afternoon, when it gets physical I don't see it ending well for them. Jan 4-2 over the Purple Cows.

agreed. they will certainly be a tough game for anyone if they play like this. Puck luck certainly helped them stay in that style as well, but that's how it goes and why anyone can win in a 1 game series.
My take on St. Cloud is that they CAN be good. I just haven’t always seen it out of them. Different team in the second half.
