They would be my third choice after PSU and Colgate. I tired of the Gopher fans love fest for Mich. Tech. It was fun 10 plus years ago when Tech was in the WCHA. Now it’s just blahhhhhhh… Though the Houghton area is fun to visit after northwest Montana and northern Minnesota. If you like the great outdoors.

My first disagreement with you. Penn State won’t make it past Tech. They suck.

MI has been on a nice little run and have their players all back and healthy. They will be a super tough out. It wouldn't surprise me to see them go all the way. I do think PSU can beat them, but it will take everything they've got, plus a little luck and goaltending.
I think it hurt MN to play only two games over such a long stretch. The outcome of Saturday's game may have been better for Minnesota, had the Gophers played the same number of games MI had leading up to the final. LaCombe and Faber both were noticeably not themselves.
I think Michigan will come out of this region, they are healthy and playing well. Here is my dart throw

Penn State has been brutal since semester break, and they'll be rusty after a couple weeks off. I think Tech takes them out.
I don't see Michigan losing to Colgate, and then they'll beat Tech. I hope somebody knocks Michigan out, but I don't see any of these three teams doing it.
As probably the only Gopher fan in the Lehigh Valley, I'll be representing the Maroon and Gold at the games on Friday.
I have Tech beating PSU, and then a fiery building disaster consuming the entire arena so that a regional champ doesn't get named. Gophers have a bye in the FF semis.

My Xfinity directory shows it on the Deuce, as well as the NCAA Hockey Twitter account.
Tech - PSU is on ESPNU and Merrimack-QU is on ESPNews.
Spectrum shows the Colgate game moved to ESPN 2 as well.
The pressure is on Michigan and Penn St to score touchdowns. I think Michigan would have no problem attempting to do that.
