Having to lean on Hedman and Vasilekskiy isn’t a particularly scary proposition. Especially when you acknowledge that they also have Cirelli, Stamkos, Kucherov, Palat, McDonagh, and Sergachev

But they just leaned on Hedman and Vasilevski to win game 7 against a good Toronto team about as much as I think they can. Vasilevski is getting all the kudos but Hedman was a beast in that game. He LIVES for the playoffs, dude is a warrior. He’s like a second goalie in front of the net and kills it on the PP.

Impressive game for Smith in goal for EDM.

If EDM can play defense like that they can beat anyone but they won’t so…

Oh I agree but with Bob in net you never know what you’re getting it seems like. Which leads me to think it’ll go the distance because I think Florida is the better overall team besides that.

FLA may be the better team “on paper” but if Kucherov brings his A game Tampa is super dangerous.

If Point comes back and Tampa gets their A+ PP back they’re dangerous. Remember last year Tampa steamrolled thru the first 2 rounds of the playoffs with a 40% PP. Point was a big part of that.

Really pleased Oilers won game 7. McDavid is such a pleasure to watch. He literally makes plays individually that only HE is capable of…just exciting to watch!👍

Ah, Stanley Cup playoffs, game 7, OT. Doesn’t get much better than that.

Interesting reading about these American  and Canadian teams playing each other in the playoffs and their travel plans. To avoid Covid testing they fly close to the border, bus across and then fly again to their opponents city.

Cool to see all the fans outside the arenas cheering & partying in 🇨🇦 (during the playoff games) 😎

i will not cheer for stl or col.  rangers or canes it is!

I noticed that all the series are every other day games except for the Florida series – they have a back to back Sunday/ Monday.  TV conflicts?

What was the call? The swing clearly swung around and hit the player in the head…not particularly hard, but it did.
