::What is Spurgeon’s no move clause this off season?
It’s a full no move for 2 more years. 10 team no trade starts July of 2024

Probably a better chance of getting Sergei Federov to come play with Kirill than Spurgeon going elsewhere.

::Schenn has raised his game on being a prick
Schenn has so many UND qualities, he would have been a perfect fit up in Grand Forks.

::Another phantom penalty on the Wild, so the refs plan is to keep the PPs even no matter what
That’s pretty much always the plan. Game management

::They could be calling interference on St.Louis on most of the Wild dump ins
My biggest pet peeve with the way the NHL calls games. They let blatant interference go on dump ins. It would really create more offense if they started calling it tighter.

::Really blew it in game four when they were depleted defensively.
I made that same observation after that game. Wild just got out hustled and out willed. Jost been good but not scoring. Big whiff.
Tonight their D zone coverage as a team was terrible. Brodin, dumba, spurgeon beat all night in front of their net. Terasenko quiet until tonight…then 3 goals in the third.
What a buzz kill. Kaprisov the only guy who can score. Fiala line mostly ineffective, which is a huge negative for this team
1 in 5 chance of winning series statistically.
Another Minnesota team built for the regular season 🤣

::Well, the Wild have 4 goals in their 3 losses…and KK has 3 of those. I guess we should be happy there is still a game 6 victory to hope for.
Winner of Game 5 is 80% in favor of taking the series.
That feels about right, given that my optimism is running about 1 in 5.
I was hoping this team might finally rise up in the playoffs and take that next step…not yet apparently.

Words can’t describe how bad this loss sucked. Not shocked Wild lost, but very surprised “the way” they lost. Just goes to show that regular season success (often) has very little correlation to PLAYOFF success, ESPECIALLY relative to MN professional sports teams!

It’s been a little weird. In the Wild wins they pretty much dominated. These past two games, it’s almost like St. Louis threw a switch, and there’s nothing Minnesota can do.
Teresako, for example, hasn’t done much all series. Then he gets a pure hat trick in the third period last night to salt the game away…on the road! Do you think Fiala, the Wild player who hasn’t done much, will return the favor in St. Louis?
I hope they can get something for Dumba in the off season. Fiala is an astonishing talent, and if he is unloaded, it may be that Guerin has little faith in him as a playoff player. He practically carried the team in the last month of the season and, then, *poof*.

::So tDean starts Talbot right?
Seems kind of late for him to start coaching now. Maybe he can just continue to let his great leadership group run the team

interesting, I heard the same stat on the radio broadcast, only they said the winner of game 3 won 80% of the series….🤷♀️

::The season comes down to TONIGHT. They need to prevail & force game 7. As entertaining & successful as the regular season WAS…if they lose tonight & go into the night a 1st round playoff loser…this season will have a distinctly bitter taste.

::Not a big call but I believe at least one of Deslauriers & Duhaime come out. Deslauriers provides zero value at this point laboring around the ice, he can’t even be physical because he is so many steps behind. Duhaime unfortunately has been MIA for quite sometime.
I expect Bjugstad to get in & possibly Dewar. Jost has been noticeable in his role this series might as well get more speed/skill with him at this point.

I’d love the 4th to be Dewar/Jost/Bjugstad

::It appears that Talbot is in the net as he was the 1st goalie off the ice. Goligoski is replaced by Kulikov.
Dmitry Kulikov looks in for Alex Goligoski, it appears. Nick Bjugstad getting bagged.

It was for grabbing Dewar’s stick. Not from the mess with Middleton

But we initiated the contact in front and it looked like he was just flailing out trying to keep his balance. I don’t see why they thought anything needed to be called.

::Encouraging to see the Wild really grasping and feeding off that “win or go home” desperation.
They just dominated the 1st period. Can’t blame the team for terrible goaltending

Fluery was good for 1 bad one every game so far too so let’s hope that’s the only 1 for Talbot

Unfortunately, yet another period dominated by the Wild, accompanied by a “0” on the scoreboard.

Yeah, but that has nothing to do with you questioning their desire or effort.

Nope. Never said “lazy”. Never said they weren’t trying. At some point “desire and effort” has to translate into something more than words. We’re now coming up on 75 minutes since the last Wild goal.
