Vanek with a hat trick and an assist in last nights game.
He probably coasted an everyone amiright?
He just stood at center ice and cherry picked.
BTW, Haula with another goal last night. Has 24 points this year, 2 points shy of what he had all of last year.

Per Twitter (Vegoe?) he’ll be the 20th Gopher to play this year which would be fun to put together on the PS4, but sadly I’d have to borrow from elsewhere to fill the G. Without digging too far I think Frazee was the last UM G to play even 1 NHL game and it was his only 1.
Just throw in Stalock or Lindgren, close enough.

Frazee played one, Hauser played one, Wilcox got called up and has dressed but hasn’t played.

What happened to Paul Martin? Waivers today. Didn’t know his career was hitting the wall at the end that quickly.
Was injured most of the year. Rehabbed it, and now Sharks don’t have a spot for him. He has been a scratch for the last few weeks after coming back. Asked Sharks for a trade the other day. Looks like if he clears, he will report to AHL to try to get interest from others.

Getting paid $4,850,000 to play in the AHL isn’t a bad deal.

Phil the Thrill what a legend. My favorite player and probably the last time I’ll say that since I think it’s a little weird to call someone younger than me a favorite player.
Congrats to Phil. That said, if he gets near Broten’s point total, he better hire a royal taster for his hot dogs…

Cammarata wins ECHL All-Star MVP. 5 goals, 2 assists.
His game is taylor made for a 3-on-3 all-star format. I’d recommend sound off for the highlights:

Man, letdown, I was waiting for that move where he disappears from the ice for entire periods…

Quote:They may even have to take on a bad contract or eat some of his salary in order to accommodate Martin’s request, as the 36-year-old carries a $4.825 million salary-cap hit through the 2018-19 season. (Note: Martin was placed on waivers on Monday, and will be reassigned to the Barracuda if he clears).
Probably doesn’t make sense for the Wild, even if they could include Foligno, Stewart, and Quincey.

I would trade Ennis for him on the condition that he retires at the end of this year.

Haula scored again last night as Vegas scores 3 in the last 2 minutes to beat Flames. Haula has 18 goals and 18 assists this year.
That would make him 4th on the local team.
For some reason Yeo and Boudreau never liked Haula. Sometimes change is good, and am happy for Haula. I have a feeling Reilly is going down that path, although I don’t think Reilly will be more than a 5th or 6th d man, but we will never see him grow here.

::Really cool to see Holl net a goal. Seems like he’s been up and down between NHL and AHL a lot the last few years. Just can’t quite crack the lineup on a consistent basis in the NHL but he will always be one of my favorite Gophers because of 0.6! Edit: I was thinking of Mark Alt when I wrote this

This was actually his debut in the NHL.

I know it was his actual debut. But he’d been called up to the NHL lineup a handful of times with Philly and never gotten on the ice. That was what I was referring to.

Maybe thinking of Helgeson? He also has one goal in his NHL career.
Nah I’ve followed Helgeson’s career relatively closely (mostly due to the NHL video games where I create all-Gopher teams). I just worded my post poorly. I meant he’s been called up to the big squad a few times, not that he’s played a lot. I know he got called up by the Flyers a handful of times but never saw the ice.

IIRC Holl’s dad was wearing a 0.6 shirt for the National Championship against Union. Hilarious move by him. Definitely a Justin Holl fan here
He wasn’t the only one. There were a number of parents wearing them.
Are those shirts still on the market? They might come back into style soon.
