Regarding that BBQ list – I can’t personally vouch but some spots not named in that list that I’ve seen recommended:
-Smoak in Rochester
-Roosters in St. Paul
-Food truck in Grand Rapids but the name was lost
-Mr. Pig Stuff in Shakopee but they said their sauces are subpar
-Old Southern Smokehouse in Arden Hills
