Perhaps you have a better theory about why they expanded the footprint but I don’t think it’s a stretch to suggest they wanted to freshen it up.

 

Oh and while I like Badfinger enough they never had an album higher than 28th and only four Top 10 singles.  The RRHoF doesn’t miss Badfinger nor was it created to respresent “Bands that 5 O.T. Likes”.
