Because I support Gopher hockey, not the conference they are in. That is, I’m not a “Big Ten hockey fan”, but I still obviously go to games.

And the national champion doesn’t need to come from the best conference. But you have to respect the level of play they have and I still daydream of a creative cross conference solution which would increase the buzz around the program.
