Recruiting one particular type of player is exactly what lead many on here to say lucia was a bad coach. They want it both ways.

ImMotzko seems to be one of these guys who has figured out how to mix a team of high end talent with players who others perhaps have overlooked. Lucia failed to adjust to the changing college hockey landscape. There’s myriad reasons why Lucia’s time was up.

I also would speculate that maybe Lucia lost touch with the players and alumni. I have no evidence to support this other than hearing it from a few inside hockey people that I trust.
