The Athletic’s Scott Wheeler is doing a run down of every NHL teams top prospects. Today he looks at Buffalo. Ryan Johnson is #6 and to my surprise Aaron Huglen is still #14. The material that the Athletic provides for its cost is well worth it.

Huglen missed all of last season with a back injury and rejoined Fargo in the USHL at the start of January, more than a dozen games into their new season. That year and half off is going to be tough for him to overcome (it is for any player his age) but he has ridiculous hands and impressive creativity with the puck and has looked really comfortable back on the ice. I’m already looking forward to tracking him with the Golden Gophers next year.
