#1 I agree that oversized public funding of these massive profit makers for wealthy owners is a bad idea – before everyone jumps on me for that.
#2 net worth does not mean liquid assets. How much of that $5.8B is the value of the team? Maybe these should be loans vs. public funding outright, but these net worth comparisons do not necessarily mean they have the cash to outlay for a $1B-$2B stadium.
