Trusting a weather person is foolish. If I and most anyone was as incorrect at our job as a weather person predicting the weather… we would all be fired a long time ago.
I’m more forgiving of the people trying to predict the weather. Predicting on how much rain/snow we get is really tricky, and that is why they usually throw a vast range for those numbers. I look at their accuracy of temperature predictions more than their rain forecasts, but temps are far more easier to forecast because of dew points etc. I actively look at 3-4 websites to monitor the weather and then try to make my decisions based on the combinations of those rather than the talking heads on tv.
I trust a couple of sites. And as for those talking heads, they are a pure ‘dog & pony show’.
