The hottest temperature I have personally experienced was 115 at Luke AFB in Arizona while watching the Air Force Thunderbirds. This was almost 35 years ago so strong sunscreens were not available. That severe sunburn likely started me down the path of the numerous skin cancers I have had removed


Mrs. GE and I went to Death Valley earlier this year. It’s much nicer in Feb/March. :shock:

Zwak, you will like this: From Dante’s View (in the park about 5575 above sea level, another 300 feet above DV) Saltwater basin you can look down at Saltwater Basin, the lowest point in the US and then look across to the W-NW and. on a clear day, almost see Mt. Whitney, the highest peak in the Lower 48.
