Volunteered to pour beer/take orders for a local brewery’s Oktoberfest today, pulled a double shift (10 hours). Afterwards, one of the owner’s wife came by to personally say I was on point as for customer service/etc. “The lines were long, sure, but you were 3-4 orders ahead and setting up your pourer, or pouring yourself, and that line MOVED.”
I was grateful and humbled by the compliment. I thought I just did okay. That compliment really meant a ton.
