Caught in the crossfires of civil war, CIA operatives must send a former U.S. diplomat to negotiate for the life of a friend he left behind.
The summary leaves one little detail out: the former diplomat is a burnout (certain events affected him, and he became a boozehound). That is key to the plot. That being said, pretty good movie, some action, some suspense, there is some cheese in the dialogue in the middle of the movie, but doesn’t really cross that line, and it recovers nicely. I will say Jon Hamm has had trouble breaking out of him playing Don Draper-like roles. That kind of hard-nosed a-hole that drinks and/or is a bit arrogant. I don’t know if that’s by choice or not, but…
