The African monarch Akeem learns he has a long-lost son in the United States and must return to America to meet this unexpected heir and build a relationship with his son.
Same story arc, in a way, so nothing surprising here. The references to the first are hilarious, I must say. The modernization of the cultures are also extremely well-done. Bonus: some of the musical performances/soundtrack choices are outstanding. I was going Def Jam on it, saying to myself, “Aw, HELL yeah!”
Very worthy sequel to watch, if you liked the first movie.
