Kelly RedWizard of Oz dress found!! In case you wonder why it’s black and white with a YELLOW blouse, that’s because this was almost certainly the dress Judy Garland wore during the B&W scenes. The dress changed to the traditional blue and white, with white blouse for the scenes in color, but B&W film required different shades. Yellow films as white in B&W film and the B&W gingham would have “looked” like blue. I know it’s weird but many costumes in old B&W films are not the color you think they are.
