I’m mostly seeing how ridiculous a monarchy and especially the English monarchy is. The royal family is granted over $100 million a year (American) by English tax players…for what?

Without citing any recent examples that spring to mind, I can see some advantages to separating the roles of a nation’s top political celebrity from their functioning head of government.
